Spinning Polls

By PoliPundit ~ November 11th, 2005 @ 6:03 am

Slate’s William Saletan holds the dubious distinction of predicting, after Labor Day in 2000 and 2004, that George W. Bush would lose the election.

In another example of why cocooned liberals never seem to understand the political landscape, Saletan tries to spin the polls showing that Americans support spousal notification before a woman has an abortion. No matter how he spins it, or how the poll question is worder, Saletan cannot point to even one poll that shows public support for spousal notification at less than 63 percent. Yet he seems to think that Judge Alito is “on the wrong side of public opinion” on this issue.

I would pay for Saletan to be a consultant to the next Democrat presidential campaign. On the other hand, Bob Shrum does have that amazing 0 for 8 record…
