Maybe Dems Could Muster Some Outrage Over This
I find it amusing (although it really isn’t funny) that Democrats have gone berserk over President Bush’s “domestic spying” and have completely ignored so many of the same or similar things that Bill Clinton and other former presidents authorized. I had forgotten, however, the strange coincidence that so many of Bill Clinton’s critics showed up on IRS audit lists in the 90’s. The revelations in the Barrett Report, which I am sure would be big, breathless scandal fodder if they involved a Republican president, probably didn’t cause the leaders of Democrat party to bat an eye, especially since they didn’t raise any eyebrows when the alleged abuses were occuring. (Except for Nancy Pelosi’s, of course, but that is an involuntary thing.)
