How To Muster Some Outrage

By Lorie Byrd ~ December 29th, 2005 @ 4:08 pm

Linda Chavez says of the NSA eavesdropping story that “whoever leaked this belongs behind bars.” Amen to that. As Bob Dole famously said about Bill Clinton’s scandals (pre-Monica, by the way), “Where is the outrage?” My answer would be that the outrage is all invested in taking down Republicans. I have a thought, though, about how we might be sure to get an investigation into the NSA eavesdropping leak and other recent national security leaks — just start a rumor that Karl Rove is behind them. There seems to be an abundance of outrage for him.

Update: Actually, the outrage from the Left was all used up on this egomaniac’s accusations (here quoted in a story in which his five-year-old son “outs” his mom as a “secret spy.”) Maybe Joe will get his wish and see someone frog marching, but it might just be a Carter–Clinton holdover instead of the boy genius, Rove.
