Immigration
Assume you jump the US-Mexico fence to find work in the US. You then forge a Social Security number and card, and perhaps a Green card. You then take advantage of these forged documents to work here for several years. You may even encourage additional people from your town to flaunt US laws.
Naturally, your reward for all this is…amnesty!
The US Senate, which is supposed to care about America’s borders, is considering several very bad proposals that would allow the 11 million illegal aliens in the US to become legalized.
National Review has an editorial which explains just what’s wrong with this:
The bargain of swapping amnesty for promises of future enforcement is the same bait-and-switch as in 1986, when amnesty was traded for a first-ever ban on hiring illegal aliens. But the ban was barely enforced, and once all the illegals were legalized it was effectively abandoned by the Clinton administration. Today, it is still ignored. Why should we expect things to be any different this time?
If this bill is passed, it will ensure future law-breaking and the destruction of America’s sovereignty.
You can do something about this. Please contact your senators (a phone call works best) and let them know what you think about these gigantic amnesty proposals.
