One last item regarding Friday’s job market report:

Nine hundred forty three thousand six hundred (943,600).

No, not the cost of Barbara Boxer’s annual limosuine service.

That’s the combined net payroll gain over the past 12 months posted by these Hoover-itarian sectors:

Finance & insurance, real estate, computer systems design, legal services, accounting & bookkeeping, architecture & engineering, company management, construction, health care services.

BTW, some of the biggest gains last year — nearly 300,000 net payroll jobs — were posted by the health care industry, i.e., doctors, nurses, EMT’s, home health care providers, etc.

Proving, yet again, that what you see on Lou Dobbs’ program — I’m assuming it’s still on the air, BTW — and what you hear on campus is true:

There are few jobs being created legally in this country and the vast majority of them don’t pay too well.

{Glug, glug, glug, glug, glug, glug, glug; ah, Kool-Aid!}

P.S. – You can obtain all of those payroll numbers by scrolling around this database.
