Alberto to SCOTUS!!!!

Oooops typo, it’s Alberto to Florida.

Looks like it will be a hurricane just as it gets near the coast.

Well the good news is that Central Florida is in need of rain. I have not been home for two weeks and the lawn really really needs some water. The county wide campaign of “twice a week” for lawn watering just does not do it.

It is also great news because of the wild fires that have been going on. There have been many fires throughout Florida and heavy rain is the only thing that will put them out.

From the Orlando Sentinal;

Alberto was expected to bring 4 to 10 inches of rain in parts of central Florida up to southeastern Georgia. The rains would be welcome in parched parts of the state, some of which have been hit by wildfires.

Updated tracking is here.

UPDATE: OK, what is worse. Alberto going to SCOTUS or Alberto going to Florida?

UPDATE:“Postmodern Pundit” had a good comment on the Senate Minority Leader;

Did anyone catch Harry Reid’s ridiculous speech on global warming at the left wing nut-conventions over the last few days? While decrying Bush’s ignorance on hurricanes and their “wildly accepted” relationship to supposed global warming, he cited Tropical Storm Albert as proof of global warming – and mistakenly called it Tropical Storm “Alfredo” multiple times.
