MN Election 2006

Rassmussan today released his latest sample in Minnesota’s race for governor. Tim Pawlenty(42%) is running 5 points behind DFL Attorney General Mike Hatch(47%) in the race.

The good news is the Senate race continues to be a toss up with Klobuchar (D 47%) and Kennedy (R 44%) polling in the margin of error. The GOP really needs this pickup since it’s becoming increasingly clear Santorums race is starting to slip away unless progress is made soon.

The two have been near-even throughout most of the election year. Last month, Klobuchar led 45% to 43%. The competitive and well-funded contest is being watched closely by national officials of both parties.
