Actually, all population:

The U.S. birth rate plunged last year to a record low, with the decline being led by immigrant women hit hard by the recession, according to a study released Thursday by the Pew Research Center.

The overall birth rate declined by 8 percent between 2007 and 2010, with a decrease of 6 percent among U.S.-born women and 14 percent among foreign-born women. The decline for Mexican immigrant women was more extreme, at 23 percent. The overall birth rate is now at its lowest since 1920, the earliest year with reliable records.

We will always be out bred by the turd worlders among us.

Part of the reason the third world is the way it is, is that they have too many children, maybe low birth rates are good for a country.

Whose going to be left to pay your social security? It is the mark of of a dying country when the birthrate falls below replacement levels. In 30 years there will be no Japan, or Europe.

WHY SHOULD FUTURE GENERATIONS PAY FOR OUR RETIREMENT? GENERATIONAL ROBBING OF PETER TO PAY PAUL. THIS IS THE BEST ARGUMENT FOR PHASING OUT THIS PONZI SCHEME.

          • Lyle on November 30, 2012 at 11:31 am

Exactly, all the moochers care about is who is going to pay for their retirement and healthcare. Next thing you know people like Fred will be advocating for open boards so people can come here and help pay for his retirement

“In 30 years there will be no Japan, or Europe.”

If you want to discuss demographic implosions, anyone noticed the bo/girl ratio in China these days? The population is getting ready to crater.

Birthrates decline during recessions, and this one has been particularly severe.

    Polipundit: Obama destroying Hispanic population

The recession predates Obama. The U.S. was shedding nearly a millions jobs a month when he took office.

So the recession requires Obama to destroy jobs and Hispanics? How does that add up?

Interesting Zachreil. You write as though the recession is still ongoing. Actually
the recession ended in June 2009. I think what you meant to say is that usually birth rates decline during recessions and and increase during recoveries but given that this ‘recovery’ is so unusually weak–there has been to date no coresponding uptick.

You should also note that we had a severe recession in the early 1980s but no noticable downtick in births. That is because under Ronnie we had real recovery.

That’s right. The recent recession was the worst since the Great Depression, and disrupted millions of lives.

Tim: You should also note that we had a severe recession in the early 1980s but no noticable downtick in births.

Both the birth rate and the general fertility rate decreased during the 1982-83 recession, and didn’t recover until 1988.

Sock puppets are fun, eh Zachriel?

There is no recovery yet. The recession did not end. The dollar is fading and the rise in oil prices and stocks clearly show that.

Setnaffa: There is no recovery yet.

The U.S. economy is growing, though not sufficient to reduce unemployment sufficiently.

Setnaffa: The dollar is fading and the rise in oil prices and stocks clearly show that.

Oil prices are lower today, in fixed dollars, than they were in 2008.

When the men who knocked up the women can’t find jobs in construction and whatnot, they either hunker down and stop procreating, or the man goes back south to see if there is work there. People are still feeling the pinch, whether legally here or not.

Wait til next year – there will be another recession – guaranteed. And when zero grants amnesty, may God help us – extended family members will come streaming over the border. You didn’t POSSIBLY think that zero and crew would shut the border first, grant amnesty to those in the military and in college – and the rest would have to wait in line behind the legal ones, did you??? Nah . . . .

This will eventually get really ugly, really fast . . .
