Latinos will NEVER vote Republican

November 15, 2012
By

At least not for several decades:

John McCain nearly immolated himself within the Republican Party with his support for amnesty and did all of 4 percentage points better among Latino voters in 2008 than Mitt Romney did in 2012, according to exit polls.

[...]

A recent [Wall Street Journal] editorial invoked the welcoming attitude of Ronald Reagan. How much of the Latino vote did Reagan get? In his 1980 landslide victory, 35 percent. In his 1984 landslide victory, 37 percent. That’s better than Romney, but still a wipeout. Reagan supported an amnesty in 1986. What did it do for the party’s standing among Latinos? George H.W. Bush got only 30 percent of the Latino vote in his own landslide victory in 1988.

But it doesn’t matter because, by the time we add 40 million new latinos to the voter rolls in 25 years, John Boehner, Sean Hannity, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Orrin Hatch won’t be around to face the consequences. All they care about is the next decade. All they care about is their precious careers.

Anyone who thinks pandering to Hispanics is a good idea should just look at California.

  2. artist on November 15, 2012 at 7:00 pm

Mitt won TX and AZ by larger margins than Mac did.

    Just sayin.

This country is a POWDER KEG right now. If they ram amnesty through that COULD be the spark.

Obama also did worse in CA by about 3 points. Lost Riverside Co,which he had won in 2008.

Anyone who thinks all “Hispanics” are the same is probably an idiot…

    • IP727 on November 15, 2012 at 7:50 pm

70% are, by their voting habits.

    • rightwingyahoo on November 15, 2012 at 9:37 pm

A rather dumb remark given the recent election.

  4. artist on November 15, 2012 at 7:30 pm

The damage done by the left is irreversible and will only get worse.

2014 won’t fix it and 16 won’t either. Even if the GOP won.

    The gig is up.

    • IP727 on November 15, 2012 at 7:52 pm

The only silver lining will be to see the demise of the white lib politicians, as they are replaced by their friends the “hispanics”.

      • Eric W. on November 15, 2012 at 8:28 pm

Yeah. Look at white liberals like Howard Berman. His district was almost 75 % hispanic, and he was forced to run, thanks to redistricting,in a new district. Lost to seat to another detestible hack,Brad Sherman in the primary.

Hispanics/latinos need to be convinced of two things …

They will have work and access to work.

They will accept whatever strictures entailed.

They also want their kids to have the same opportunity.

And by their fruits they want to be known …

… they want the respect a hard day’s work is due.

    Simple as that.

    No pandering.

    No affirmative action.

    No special treatment.

Let them work, pay taxes and participate.

And don’t look down on them for their effort.

As to their ability to participate in the voting process?

They would like a path way – a defined process and will toe that line.

The above will work just fine if we do just one thing …

    … secure the &^%$%#@ border.

    End of problem.

Now, if we let the Left win their votes over will all sorts of goodies …

    … it is our fault.

Get in front of this and we win.

    • rightwingyahoo on November 15, 2012 at 9:42 pm

      Horse shit.

There will always be legal immigration, and Hispanics may legally immigrate to their heart’s content.

They WILL obey the law, like all other Americans. We WILL look down on the ones who act as though the law does not apply to them, just like we look down on all Americans who behave that way.

The border will never be secure, NEVER in the next 100 years. Texas politicians would rather all be hanged, than secure the border.

But we will enforce the immigration laws, evenly and without favoritism, or malice, and we will NOT allow amnesty in mockery of those who obey our laws.

We have 20 million unemployed Americans.

LET THEM WORK, pay taxes, and contribute, motherfucker. THEM.

Take your illegal immigrant pandering and shove it up your ass.

Texas politicians would rather all be hanged, than secure the border.

Exactly. Ron Paul (from Texas) has already said he would NOT build a fence.

Paulbots are blind fucking idiots hypocrites on this issue. And now they’ve run off and are doing exactly what the left wants them to do, which is play the “poor angry victim” so the left can exploit the paulbots JUST LIKE that blacks.

        • Anonymous non- Amnesty_Luvin_RINO on November 16, 2012 at 8:55 am

Paul has always said, and continues to say: NO AMNESTY!

Unlike your current GOP establishment and leadership! Seems their followers are the ones who are blind!

          • Anonymous Paulbot on November 16, 2012 at 8:37 pm

Paul says NO FENCE and NO BORDER security, so pull your stupid head outta yer ass and face the facts — Paul is a FUCKING PUSSY or border security and so are you feckless craven paulbots.

None of you have the courage to do what’s needed to secure the borders and secure American soverignty. You’re just a bunch of paulbot pansies who don’t have the slightest clues as to what it takes to secure the border and prevent the theft of the American dream.

You feckless paulbots sit on the sidelines like your COWARDLY leader and you’ll do NOTHING to stop the onslaught of illegal foriegn tresspassers — so FUCK YOU paulbots for your lazy apathetic approach to protecting the american dream.

You fuckers are M.I.A. when it comes to what is truly important!

            Agreed.

Ron Paul has always said he would NOT secure the border or build a fence.

If you don’t build a fence and guard it forcefully, then millions of illegals just keep pouring in. It’s been that way for a long time so anybody (ron paul’s crowd and the liberals) who say “NO” to a fence are really saying “YES” to illegals.

  6. Anonymous un-Paulbot on November 16, 2012 at 5:02 am

    Jeb Bush is a liar.

    So is Ron Paul.

the paulbots claim they’re strong on this but it’s bullcrap. Ron Paul said in the primaries that he wouldn’t secure the border and HE WON’T BUILD A FENCE.

That’s all you need to know about where the paulbot cult freaks stand on this. They’re the enemy just as much as the Leftists and RINOs.

    • Anonymous non- Amnesty_Luvin_RINO on November 16, 2012 at 9:08 am

      Hey Mr. RINO Luvr —

just because he doesn’t want to spend a bunch of $ on a fence across our borders doesn’t mean he’s pro-Amnesty (like your GOP leadership that you support is). So get over your candidate losing the election and stop muddying the waters for your RINO-agenda.

Paul has continued to call for NO Amnesty and enforcing current immigration law (something that not only the Dems refuse to do, but your RINO brethren as well). He also has called for an end to ‘birthright citizenship’ being granted to children of illegals. Bottom line, his plan makes alot more sense than the RINO’s does.

looks like someone hit a nerve! lol!!

Actually the fence will be is a costly boondoggle, and probably just a band-aid fix.

as the poster above stated, ending birthright citizenship and enforcing current immigration law will go along ways to address the problem. also end Welfare-type benefits for all non-citizens. WIth the “welfare magnet” gone, the incentive to come here illegally will be removed, and many here would self-deport (A lot less costly than a fence).

But hey, keep ‘floggin that noodle’ if it makes you feel better, Mr “True Conservative” (Yeah …. right …… LOL).

      • Gary on November 17, 2012 at 5:35 am

Anyone stupid enough to believe that you can stop illegal without a well guarded fence is..

well, probably dumb enough to vote for ron paul.

No fence = more illegals. Works that way every time, and there’s no way to spin it.

        • The Return of the Giant Crapweasal on November 19, 2012 at 11:44 am

Gary, give us a few examples of how a national border fence has ‘worked every time’. Statements without factual backup are meaningless.

Get real as long as the party leadership has to pander to the extreme wing nuts like the tea party it will never win another election.

Tea party policy is repugnant to the majority. The numbers for the GOP will only get worse going forward with or without amnesty as younger people stop voting for their fathers party.

The anti science anti women anti scholarly racism party of no whose major concern is the elite will never again get the numbers required to win an election.

    • IP727 on November 16, 2012 at 6:08 am

The tea party is the majority of the grass roots. Without them the GOP is finishd.

How about we SECURE THE BORDER? Then and only then we can talk about what to do with the illegals already here.

Use e-verify before ANYONE gets a job. Use it for everyone, and I mean everyone before hiring them. A few years ago my son, who by the way had been in his job for 12 years at that point, had to take his birth certificate to his employer to prove he was/is an American citizen. My daughter who just changed jobs a few months ago also had to show her birth certificate and social security card to her new employer. Now why should someone here illegally not have to prove the same thing? Why do we have a one standard for Americans and a different one for illegals?

Will Hispanics ever vote for republicans? Probably not but one would think that the hard working ones would like to have a chance to better their life and the lives of their children. The democrats MUST keep groups of Hispanics and blacks dependent as a way to buy votes. I think these groups would be furious to know that is what the democrats think of them. That the democrats care nothing about what kind of life these people have, they only care about their votes and in order to keep them voting for democrats they must keep them dependent. What a despicable way to treat anyone.

How about we SECURE THE BORDER? Then and only then we can talk about what to do with the illegals already here.

How about we enforce the immigration laws as they are, while we secure the border, and if it ever is secure, which I doubt very much it ever will be, then we can keep enforcing the immigration laws.

Then, there won’t be many illegals for us to talk about what to do with.

      How about that?

GOP – You Reaped what you sowed!

We had a decisive re-election of our President due, in part, to the majority of Latin America US Citizens voted for him and not the GOP.

I think back to the May Day March or what some called a day without an immigrant and all the hate and disparaging name calling from the GOP Tea Baggers and the far conservative religious right (Did we see the GOP leadership try to stop it?, no, they thought this meant votes for them). I saw children, parents and grand parents together in solidarity, my people the working class, they may not be sophisticated but they got the message heard. In the demonstrations I saw our beloved “Stars and Stripes” flag, the flag from Mexico and some flags from other countries (not many complaints about these flags). I saw the flags being a sign of solidarity as when I see German flags flying during October Fest and Ireland Flags flying during St. Patrick’s Day. From publish reports the demonstrations included both US citizens and those without legal residency. This brought me a smile because I always enjoy seeing brothers helping brothers.

That day and now our election day reminded me of a parable from the good book where a Levite and Priest come upon a man who fell among thieves and they both individually passed by and didn’t stop to help him. Finally a man of another race came by, he got down from his beast, decided not to be compassionate by proxy and got down with the injured man, administered first aid, and helped the man in need. Jesus ended up saying, this was the good man, this was the great man, because he had the capacity to project the “I” into the “thou,” and to be concerned about his brother.

You see, the Levite and the Priest were afraid, they asked themselves, “If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?”

But then the Good Samaritan came by. And he reversed the question: “If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?”

That’s the question before us back on May Day and it continued on to election day. The question is not, “If I stop to help the un -documented workers in need, what will happen to me?” The question is, “If I do not stop to help the un-documented workers, what will happen to him or her?” That’s was always the question.

God bless all my brothers and sister that stood side by side with our brothers and sisters in need on May Day, on Election Day and on all days to come!

    • rightwingyahoo on November 17, 2012 at 1:42 pm

Benito, obey the law stop telling lies, The GOP gives more charity than any Democrat group ever will.

You Cesar Chavez types love to boast about how generous you are with other people’s money.

Obey the law, and be welcome. Like the rest of us. Who are you to ignore our laws because you dont like them? Can we gringos ignore the law of Mexico?

You quote the bible ignore the obvious. Jesus obeyed the law, in addition to helping others.

Tell the truth, you lying communist.

Since Hispanics gave overwhelming majorities to Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis, who both lost in landslides, I would say yiou are correct.
