Watching the returns is difficult

So how did I do on my goals for this election?
My original goal was 2500 contacts. I fell far short of that goal. I did not appreciate the extent to which the contact scripts would change and the degree that would increase the average contact interval. Basically script and policy changes doubled the average time to make a contact. I also had some issues at my home which prevented me from working for two of the last seven days. Ultimately I managed just shy of 1000 contacts.

I had the goal of shifting at least 5 Obama voters to Romney. Counting third party shifts as one half I managed 4.5 shifts.

The Romney campaign changed the mechanism used to select poll watchers and I was unable to perform that function, however instead I spent time making last minute GOTV calls today. Between donations and time I’ve done more on this election than any in my lifetime. I wish I could say that I’ve done enough to be peaceful however this goes. I cannot. The talking heads drive me crazy.

The town in which I vote had turned out 58% of their registered voters at 2:15. The election stewards projected a 90+ percent turnout. Poll watchers told me that they saw many of the people they met door knocking. So anecdotally the Republican GOTV effort executed very very well. I hope it’s enough.

dude you make the worst posts. nobody cares about 4 people you “turned”. talk about the election and why did you bump the live election thread off the top of the page for this nonsense?

    UncleFred-
Appreciate the work, I did some calling late in the game, everyone I talked to had already voted or I left messages.
Tried contributing out of state down ticket campaigns, Lost Allen, and Lost Mourdock (I want my money back on that one).
Did win Flake, He has some libertarian sentiments, so I’m happy there.

Should have contributed to Mandel- cannot believe OH relected that pile of stupidity.
