Nashua Telegraph endorses Romney

Today the Nashua Telegraph endorsed Mitt Romney. They endorsed Obama in 2008. To the extent that endorsements matter in NH, this is significant. Politically the Telegraph is a left leaning paper that see itself as balancing the Union Leader. While this will not have much influence among either Democrats or Republicans, it will carry weight with independents. There is a bit of anti-Romney snark, but it is a solid endorsement.
The money quote is at the end:

Nevertheless, we are confident Romney is the candidate who would tackle the serious issues facing this nation, starting with jobs, the economy and the debt. In the end, we couldn’t say the same about the president.

The number of newspapers that backed O in 2008 and are endorsing R now might help with independents. It sure can’t hurt.

Would love to see Romney pick up anything up in the heart of the blue country.
