September 11

Just as the financial crisis gave central planners an excuse to destroy capitalism and replace it with a Federal Reserve-manipulated farce, September 11 gave them an excuse to gut the Bill of Rights and have TSA goons grope us for the crime of trying to move about the country.

Remember folks, they hate us for our freedoms. That’s why we had to get rid of them.

Why, then, did Bush, Jr. impose the TSA upon us, especially after he opposed creating the Department of Homeland Security?

    Hillbilly Deluxe:

Compassionate conservatives should never wage war, militarily or politically. They don’t have the guts for it. Bush was the wrong man for the job. McCain, for all his loathsome qualities, might have been a remarkable general.

On the other hand, can you imagine Gore at the helm after 9/11?

Bush did a lot more after 9/11 than just ‘wage war’.

He had to help all of the cowering liberals to crawl out from under their beds and get on with their lives. The crybabies wouldn’t go to work or the conduct basic functions of life (like shopping for groceries) until Bush mollycoddled them and reassured them that he’d protect them from the bad ol’ boogeyman.

So it stands that Bush also helped to restore the economy after the dot-com bubble bursting from Clinton’s admin and from the crybabies shutting down the economy after 9/11 because they were too terrified to leave their homes.

He was a mixed bag, but you cannot honestly deny what Bush did to repair the economy post 9/11.

I agree with you mike. Also did w fight a perfect war. Nope. Neither did Abe or fdr. But hillbilly what do you think he should have done.
Nuked somebody. Not responded. Something in between and if so what?

ken-phd: Like John Fogerty, I never lose a minute of sleeping wondering about the things that might have been. Gore wasn’t president on 9/11, Bush was. TSA was merely one of his numerous mistakes. Republicans talk tough but never back it up. Tha’s why I vote very very independently.

And you’ll get the same things with Romney. See what Murdoch just told Romney to do. It’s from today’s Politico.com “Welcome to the latest round of Rupert’s Helpful Unsolicited Advice, delivered to Mitt Romney and his campaign via the News Corp. chairman’s Twitter feed:
\‏@rupertmurdoch Election: To win Romney must open big tent to sympathetic families. Stop fearing far right which has nowhere else to go. Otherwise no hope.

That explains Romney’s most recent flip-flop on Obamacare. Expect more flip-flops from Romney.

Let me just say that Your welcome Republicans! Sorry, Libertarians, that you think I’ve set your cause back as well, but that’s what you get for hitching your ride to the party of Romney and Ryan. Or should I say too friggin bad, boo hoo, you were, and are, too stupid to realize that Republicans care less about personal liberties than they do about national security, jobs, their bank accounts, fancy cars and vacation homes….heck, they care more about their PETS than you!!!

Alright I am not wild about tsa but it has worked. W was against the democratic tsa because he wanted to keep it non union. As I recall he won that fight. I have lost track of that fight.

But for the anti tsa folks what do you want to go back to. Was watching an old bob hope movie. He was trying to catch a flight. No security. Did not show identification and used a false name. Movie was made in the 60s alittle before I recall flying but form what I understand except for the comic effect the movie was fairly accurate about how things worked. Is that what you want?

There’s a better balance between your Bob Hope movie and the gov’t TSA fondling 6yr old girls.

It’s called the private sector and strict oversight. Something leftists cannot seem to grasp.
