If Chicago and Boston can ban Chick-fil-A…

Then I can ban liberal trolls from commenting on my blog. That’s exactly what I’m doing.

With the Daily Show, Slate, and other media outlets in full hyperpartisan, ultra-liberal mode, those who want to destroy America don’t need this little blog as yet another forum for their propaganda.

I’m sure some trolls will find creative ways around the ban. But, as and when I find them, I’ll ban them.

Why give a soapbox to the comm symps??

  2. MikeN on July 26, 2012 at 11:38 am

But they’re the most entertaining part of the blog. Watching them flail about George Zimmerman.

Poli…Thanks much appreciated. Im normally against shutting down free exchange of ideas, but these liberal morons were just agitators. Guys like Cal just shovelled marxist propaganda in an attempt to disrupt and distract, and often in vile ways. I can’t say that it was orchestrated, but a known tactic of the left is to disrupt conservative blogs and boards. Im with Attila, why give them more of a voice than thy already have? There’s dozens of marxist sites like HufPo; they’re welcome there Im sure. Hey you might get a few less comments on your posts, but do you really need to suffer through that kind of blatant BS just to get a bit more traffic. Marxists aren’t to be debated, they’re to be defeated, utterly and completely. Anything that distracts us from that goal is counterproductive. Im also sorry that guys like AUR were so filled with hate with respect to Romney that they couldn’t understand the concept of moving the political pendulum to the right when and where you can. The game is won by moving the ball a few yards at a time, not by waiting for the 98 yard hail mary pass to succeed. Its unfortunate, as we need every conservative vote we can get and that includes the purists. Well, good move anyway!

Banning lib trolls is just mean – where am I going to get my entertainment from? Huff Post? CNN? Sorry – can’t stand to be outnumbered by 1Mil to 1.

Please don’t be a libtard and ban people’s free speech rights (even if they don’t recipocate)….

  5. PoliPundit on July 26, 2012 at 12:31 pm

“Congress shall make no law…” I’m not Congress.

I’ll let liberals post here when the Old York Times lets me write columns.

Whenever the left is eager to supress rights of Conservatives, or
whenever the left ignores when Conservative’s free speech is supressed

…they never stop to realize how those things have a boomerang effect and will only come back to harm them also.

The liberals better figure out the “liber” part of their title stands for “liberty”

If they don’t figure it out soon – there will be no liberties remaining to defend.

Good move Poli – hope it teaches them something
but I also hope you restore their rights at some point as a show of good faith.

Then, see if they’ve learned anything.

Probably not, but it’s still worht a shot.

Well said. The fact is that the pendulum always swings in both directions no matter how hard one might work to stop it. One should remember that it what you set as a way of dealing with people will be how those people will deal with you when they get the power.

        I’m mixed on this.

The trolls almost always add zero value to most conversations/debate
…and while it may help slap a few of them in the face about how stupid it is to agree with ANYONE’s suppression of free-speech (because it only comes back to bite them in the ass as well)…

I’m not comfortable with ANY sort of a permanent ban on trolls.

(1.) Sure, teach them a lesson (for a brief moment), but don’t stoop to their level
(2.) Destroying the LIES and DISTORTIONS of lefty trolls is good practice for real life
(3.) Exposing the Lies and Distortions of the left is good for ALL reading this blog
(4.) Regardless of your frustration level, Poli, you shouldn’t copy the marxist left

I could list many more “Conservative” reasons why banning trolls is not a good idea…
..but I think you get the point.

Teach them how it feels for a BRIEF moment (to make your point) but lift the ban

        Thanks,
        Aaron.

Plus, it’d be good to lift the bans after Obama loses in November ;-)

That could be good for a chuckle.

      • dtrumpet on July 27, 2012 at 6:06 am

I have to admit that one of the reasons I visit this site is to get a chuckle at the machinations of the trolls. It is somewhat akin to watching a child who cannot get positive attention for their actions going for negative attention because that is all they have left. That is why so much of their drivel is about them and is followed with name calling which is a sure sign of defeat.

    Good on you, Poli.

  7. ATTILA on July 26, 2012 at 12:44 pm

The lefty types will scream free speech, but applaud the mayor of boston
for trampling on chick filet for the same.

  8. Jim,MtnViewCA,USA on July 26, 2012 at 2:35 pm

    Works for me.
Let them earn the right to post by writing well-reasoned comments, for that matter.

  9. Budahmon on July 26, 2012 at 7:36 pm

Hell….I don’t mind if you do ban them, it’s your blog.

  10. (((!))) on July 26, 2012 at 10:30 pm

(((Wow))) Bold move! Poli, I have high hopes you won’t let this blog turn into the likes of bejohngalt. It is a circlejerk.

  11. The Troll on July 27, 2012 at 5:07 am

Youre a bunch of cowards incapable of defending yourselves.

    • Earl on July 27, 2012 at 5:23 am

You’ll see how we defend ourselves as well as the nation on Nov 6. Its coming troll, and you can’t stop it.

  12. james on July 28, 2012 at 6:17 am

    Long overdue.

Back in the day, pre-apocalypse, there were many interesting liberals at PP (evil cornbread, etc.) that would engage in productive and spirited debate.

That hasn’t been the case for a long time now. The trolls that have been here for the last several years (and I suspect it is really only a small group with multiple posting names) have no interest in discussion. Their goal is sabotage and destruction. They have driven off nearly everyone, which was precisely their intent.

This blog is trying to recover and regain some of its former stature. These characters are actively opposing that goal Poli has every right to ban them and I applaud him for doing so. Just as the Consitution is not a suicide pact, Poli’s remarkable tolerance is not a license to destroy his blog.

I am hoping that good posters, conservative, liberal, and otherwise, will now begin to coalesce and perhaps make this blog the special place it once was.
