“U.S. Senate Panel Votes Against Bush Iraq Strategy”
Great! Way to go traitors
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved a nonbinding resolution against President George W. Bush’s plan to send more troops to Baghdad as lawmakers begin to act on their growing discontent with the war in Iraq.
The panel voted 12-9, with one Republican, Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, joining all the Democrats to approve the measure that declared “increasing” U.S. forces in Iraq is “not in the national interest.”
A good post from Dean Barnett on this over at Townhall
If John Warner thinks Dave Petraeus doesn’t know what he’s talking about, he should explain why that’s the case in a detailed fashion. The same goes for Susan Collins, Norm Coleman, Gordon Smith and the rest of the pro-resolution gang.
As I’ve said before, America surrendered the GWOT in November 2006. The political class is just quibbling over the details.
