I remember when people could contract polio, too, but times have changed and I don’t worry about that risk any longer. The fact that 70 or 100 years ago a black man might not speak to a white woman, or that slavery existed 150 years ago, or that people were drawn and quartered 400 years ago, have no bearing on decisions today.
Blacks have had the benefit of affirmative action for nearly 50 years. Isn’t that long enough? Instead of rallying around Obama, who has shown no leadership in guiding urban blacks to abandon the cancer upon American that is urban black American culture, blacks should be insisting upon a leader who will set high standards for black children (no early or indiscriminate breeding, no single mother households, no drugs, no slack) and the black community and push to have those standards met.
