Interesting initiative in WA

Here in Washington state, hard liquor was sold only at state-owned liquor stores. Grocery stores and mini-marts only carried beer and wine. But after yesterday’s election that won’t be the case any more.

The story of I-1183 is interesting. A similar initiative went down to defeat very recently, and this was the second try. This time around, polls showed I-1183 being defeated as well, but very effective advertising by the pro-privatization group led to a landslide 60-40 win. You can see some of those ads here.

Who cares about mississippi when we have Utah:

The Mike Huckabee Center for the Liberation and Housing of Spermatazoan-Americans Opens

January 20, 2008 is a day that will live forever in the hearts of Americans, for it is the day the Mile Huckabee Center for the Liberation and Housing of Spermatazoan-Americans opened it’s doors for the first time in Tremonton, Utah.

“I’ve worked hard every day of my life to get to this point,” said Center Director Gen. JC Christian shortly after Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter cut the ribbon and opened the facility. “I’ve been saving Spermatazoan-Americans from the Tubesock Holocaust for years,” Gen. Christian continued, “by liberating them and providing them homes in mason jars I kept in my cellar until I ran out of room. This facility gives me the space I need to continue to give them their freedom.”

Surely, Poli will immediately post this latest bit of “NEWS” about Cain…
    …isn’t that right R U Varones ?

Cain Campaign CONFIRMS that the latest accuser,
…Karen Kraushaar’s son works for liberal media hacks: POLITICO.

Mark Block: “It’s become quite apparent that Mr. Cain’s candidacy and his rise in the poll is the — both the left and the right’s worst nightmare. You have all of these allegations coming out, you know, eight, nine days ago from Politico. You start connecting the dots and trying to figure out whether it’s coming from opponents on the left or opponents on the right. I mean, just at the press conference it was brought up that the — Karen Kraushaar come out as one of the women. So we’ve come to find out her son works at Politico, the organization that originally out the story out.”

Sean Hannity: “Have you confirmed that? I’ve been hearing that all day. You’ve confirmed that now, right?”

Mark Block: “We confirmed it — that he does indeed work at Politico and that’s his mother, yes.”

Or, should everyone just keep mindlessly swallowing Politico’s tripe???

    …Brand New State Poll

    FLORIDA:
    Republican Presidential Primary (Rasmussen)
    30% ~ Herman Cain (+6)
    24% ~ Romney
    19% ~ Gingrich

    Single-digit Losers:
    Perry – 4
    Bachmann – 3
    Paul – 3
    Huntsman – 2
    Santorum – 1

Hmm, looks like Florida is not swallowing the Politico tripe…

And, notice the EXACT SAME pattern again?
    • Cain is either on TOP, or in a statistical tie with Romney
    • Gingrich continues to gain momentum
    • Perry continues to sink like a stone
    • Single-digit Losers continue to be Single-digit Losers

…as usual, – read into this new polling data whatever you please

The link is withdrawn as Kraushaar denies it; still waiting to see any credibility from any accuser. So far, none to be found; just recidivism of serial accusers, gold-diggers, and un-named sources

    Another New State Poll:

    South Carolina:
    Republican Presidential Primary (Clemson)
    22% ~ Romney (+2)
    20% ~ Cain
    10% ~ Gingrich

    Single-digit Losers:
    Perry - 9, Paul - 4, Bachmann - 3, Santorum - 1, Huntsman – 1

    Same pattern here also…
    • Cain is either on top, or in a statistical tie with Romney
    • Gingrich continues to gain momentum
    • Perry continues to sink like a stone
    • Single-digit Losers continue to be Single-digit Losers

Will this pattern hold if there’s no cred from the accusers?
    …we shall see

    Cain goes on the attack
Herman Cain Accuses his various Accusers of Rape

Herman Cain stunned audiences on Wednesday afternoon when, in a surprise press release, Cain further muddled the story about the sexual allegations against him. To a crowd of approximately seven people, Cain declared that it was HE who was in fact not just sexually harassed by his accusers, but raped.

Re: Rick Perry Campaign is done.

I was live blogging the debate when I heard the flub. It was terribly embarrassing. I don’t believe a recovery is possible now for Rick Perry. This will hit the late night comedy routines tomorrow.

Gingrich continues to do well. He hit home runs with each condescending gotcha question from the lib moderators. Sweet. Herman Cain will need to broaden his responses a little more than just 9-9-9. Romney was smooth and boring. Even Ron Paul probably added some support. I expect the rest will have to determine when the best time is to drop out gracefully.
