Ferguson & LoBiondo Join Democrats In Voting for “Hillary-Care” & Coverage for Illegal Immigrants

Two of the worst fiscally ranked Congressman showed why they are RINO’s tonight as New Jersey’s own Mike Ferguson & Frank LoBiondo were 2 of only 5 Republicans to join 220 Democrats, (10 voted with Republicans against the bill), in voting in favor of the SCHIP program.

What is SCHIP and why should we care? Let me have Congressman Jeb Hensarling, Chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee, tell you what this bill will do:

This is a “bill that will cut Medicare, raise taxes, and impose a Hillary-Care style of bureaucratized, government-controlled health care on American families in order to expand the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)”

“The mantra of this Democrat Congress has been to tax, spend and do it again. Today, Democrats continued taxing and spending – this time to impose Washington controlled, bureaucratized medicine that will threaten the quality, affordability and accessibility of health care for all Americans. Democrats rammed this bill thru Congress without allowing adequate debate in order to hide the huge tax increases, the raid on the Medicare trust fund and drastic reductions to seniors’ Medicare Advantage program from the American people. Make no mistake, today the Democrats raised taxes on every American that has health insurance.”

And then there are the loopholes that dole out MILLIONS to illegal immigrants. House Minority Leader John Boehner fills us in on that:

“Illegal immigrants are about to get an unexpected boost thanks to the Democratic Congress. The Democrats have a proposal that not only raises taxes on middle class families and slashes funding for a popular Medicare program … it eliminates the requirement that persons applying for Medicaid or SCHIP service show proof of citizenship or nationality.”

I guess this is one of those bills that Mike Ferguson was talking about when he was quoted in the NY Times as being happy that with a Democrat Majority, bills that wouldn’t come up for a vote or pass if they did, will now be heard and he can vote for them. Like I said, this must have been one of them.

Shame on Mike Ferguson and shame on Frank LoBiondo.
