Bennett Gone

May 8, 2010
By

Senator Bob Bennett (R-UT) will not be representing the GOP in the 2010 election.

Bennett was one of the 12 Republican senators who voted for the Bush-Kennedy amnesty in 2007. Where are they now?

The following are no longer in the Senate:

Craig (ID), Hagel (NE), Lott (MS), Martinez (FL)

Gregg (NH) is retiring this year, Bennett (UT) just lost his primary, and Specter (PA) became a Democrat.

McCain (AZ) faces a tough primary challenge.

Amnesty & bank bailouts — the mark of someone who’s been in Washington too long.

Do you think the establishment Republicans after NY-23, Rubio, Bennett, etc are beginning to get the message-before we clean the big govt Dems out in November, we are going to be taking out the RINOs and cleaning out the big govt Republicans first.

No more bailouts, no more bailouts, hey hey hey,
    Goodbye….

Crist is leading in the polls. I am very worried that Rubio is going to lose.

Will Bennet’s successor be more conservative?

TAPPER: You’ve said we’re a nation of cowards because we don’t talk
freely and openly about race. So in that spirit, let me give it a
shot. Do you think the Arizona immigration law is racist?

    HOLDER: Well, I don’t think it’s necessarily a good idea…

    [snip*]

TAPPER: Do you think it’s racist?

    HOLDER: I don’t think it’s racist in its motivation…

I went to the Little Green Football webblog for the first time in perhaps 4 or more months just for kicks to see what Charles has written recently.

Man has Charles lost it big time. What the principal did warranted a lawsuit against him and the school administration. Plus it came out that these same student wore their U. S. shirts on previous occasions to the school and allowed to do so.

Plus he is suggesting that Sen. Bennett should have received the GOP nomniation just based on the fact that he’s the incumbant.. He even called him conservative with a 84% rating. That’s not conservative enough for me to vote for him if he lived in my state. There would be too many issues that we disagreed on. The only reason that I voted for McCain for President is that I didn’t want ObamaCare and all the other nonsense that this administartion has come up with.

Ralph, I think that’s why many voted for McCain for President.

Read the quote from Robert Samuelson’s article on today’s “Real Clear Politics” titled “The Death Spiral of the Welfare States”

Americans dislike the term “welfare state” and substitute the bland word “entitlements.” The vocabulary doesn’t alter the reality. Countries cannot overspend and overborrow forever. By delaying hard decisions about spending and taxes, governments maneuver themselves into a cul de sac.

That ties inot Defense Secretary Robert Gates’ warning to the U. S. military that the gravy train is over. He’s right because our national defense is a welfare program that provides unncecessary jobs and weapons just to pad local payrolls.

Entitlements=Welfare. It’s time to take farmers veterans and the elderly off the public teat.

However, today’s “conservatives” do not have the courage to admit any of that let alone act on it. That’s why liberalism thrives.

    Spence, you got it backwards.

It’s time to stop paying for people who don’t produce anything…

Look up the old Woodsman Circle House in Sherman, TX. Those folks, before LBJ’s “Great Society”, took care of their own widows and orphans. The Government has taken away our ability to do that.

But I guarantee things will start to change this year. And starting with the price of Tea in China, you might say.

You might want to move out of your mom’s basement and get a job so you don’t look so much like a target.

    spencer

A splendid attempt at facetious hyperbole. El spenco forgets (or never knew) that the constitution specifically provides for the national defense, whereas maintaining a welfare state does not. Spare us the lefty buzz term military industrial complex

    defense spending===20% of budget

    Entitlements======60% of budget

    JOE LEGAL vs. JOSE ILLEGAL:

You have two families: “Joe Legal” and “Jose Illegal”. Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California.

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash “under the table”.

    Ready? Now pay attention…

Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has $31,231.00.

Jose Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.00 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $24,031.00.

Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $9,631.00.

Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays out that $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $ 31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal now has $7,231.00.

Jose Illegal says, “We don’t need no stinkin’ insurance!” and still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.

Jose Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month.

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal’s and Jose Illegal’s children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children’s lunches while Jose Illegal’s children get a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal’s children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal’s children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

    Do you get it, now?

If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens, then…
YOU are part of the problem!!

The locals will get very mad, and every time that you post they will remind you that you are a plagiarist.

    Or not. Partisans.
