Nays In Hiding?

Today, the GOP forced a vote on whether the Slaughter Solution would be available to Nancy Pelosi. A number of Democrats who plan to vote No on the actual bill voted Yes on this vote. Most likely they want to ingratiate themselves with Pelosi, and reduce the blowback from their eventual No vote.
However, the following “undecided” Democrats voted No today, which means they are likely to vote No on the overall bill as well:
Kathy Dahlkemper (Pa.)
Suzanne Kosmas (Fla.)
Harry Mitchell (Ariz.)
Glenn Nye (Va.)
Tom Perriello (Va.)
If we keep those votes, we can afford to lose three of the known Noes, and still kill Obamacare.

Wait, I have a question. It says that the Yea votes exceeded the Nay votes. Why would anyone vote Yea on the Slaughter option but then vote Nay on Obamacare?

Alan, it’s not a bad question….been asking it myself all day. On the other hand, why would the new Dems who voted no today on the Slaughter Solution, vote yes on the final bill? Sort of like the “how many angels can you fit on the head of a pin”. Only thing to do is to melt the Switchboard. hughhewitt.com among others, has a good list of DC and District contact numbers.

Thank you for saying that, spike, but it actually was a bad question on my part, because PoliPundit already answered it. I just really couldn’t get the answer through my head. (I still can’t, actually–I just don’t see how this plan would work.) But asking the question wasn’t going to change the answer. And certainly PoliPundit has been looking at way, way more data than I have.

Most conscious people know that the mainstream media has been giving Barack Hussein Obama a free pass ever since he declared for the presidency.
Thus, his claims to have campaigned in all 57 states and other “Bush-isms” have somehow escaped the radar of the MSM whereas G.W. Bush’s malapropisms and innocent mistakes are still prime fodder for ridicule.
Nevertheless, Obama and his henchmen, principally VP Joe Biden as primary henchman, continue to outshine any Bush faux pas even if few people ever hear about them.
Joe the Mouth’s latest was his heartfelt wish that Irish P.M.’s Brian Cowen’s sainted mother rest in peace or, as Biden said after realizing Cowen’s mom was very much alive and kicking, “God bless her soul.”
