The Constitution

Quoth The Constitution:
“But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively.”
The reason for this, of course, is so that the people know how their representatives voted. But the Slaughter Solution would leave unanswered the question you’d want to ask your Congressman: “Did you vote for the Senate bill?”

But, why would you ask your congressman a question for which there is no answer? Would you ask your congressman, “Why does the porridge bird lay its eggs in the air?”
The reason for this, of course, is so that the people know how their representatives voted.
Was that in the footnotes? Did the “Framers” send you an email? How do you know?

You must be right, L…..because there was no e-mails back in 1789. Good point!
Don’t argue with idiots, folks. Melt the Congressional switchboard (better yet, call their home district directly). A couple of sites (ie. hughhewitt.com )have all the contact info you need.

Holy Crap! Wingnuts discovered the Constitution! Would have been nice if it happened 9 years ago, but better late than never. Tis a glorious day in America!
