Then and Now

By PoliPundit ~ March 11th, 2010 @ 1:26 pm

Congressman Mike Capuano (D-MA), during his primary campaign against Martha Coakley last year, when she said she would vote no on Obamacare if it contained the Stupak language on abortion:

“I find it interesting and amazing and she would have stood alone among all the pro-choice members of Congress, all the members of the Massachusetts delegation. She claims she wants to honor Ted Kennedy’s legacy on health care. It’s pretty clear that a major portion of this was his bill.

If she’s not going to vote for any bill that’s not perfect, she wouldn’t vote for any bill in history. She would have voted against Medicare, the civil rights bill. Every advancement this country has made has been based on bills that had flaws in them … Realism is something you have to deal with in Washington.”

The same Congressman, in a e-mail to his supporters today, explaining why he’s now on the fence about Obamacare:

“In addition to the specific concerns outlined above, I am also concerned that some of these issues simply CANNOT be “fixed” through reconciliation.”

How times have changed!

Rand Paul’s campaign makes a money bomb commercial for the internet.

Lindsey Graham has some kind of new scheme going you can read about on hotair.

I’ve always believed that reconciliation can only used once per year. I think maybe he’s saying he wants to use it for immigration instead.
