PoliPundit, January 20: “Scott Brown’s election is the best gift Barack Obama could have hoped to receive on the one-year anniversary of his inauguration.”
Democrat strategist Donna Brazile, January 24, : “I think it’s a gift. It’s an early gift for the Democrats.”
The WSJ’s James Taranto, January 28: “The special election in Massachusetts was a gift for Obama and the Democrats–an early warning that the country strongly rejects their priorities.”

I do not care if the fact that Scott Brown won means Republicans will pick up fewer seats this year in both houses of Congress; this liberal onslaught straight into socialism had to be stopped now.
If health care had passed in its’ original form (not to say it eventually won’t), we could never have repealed it, and we would have ended up with a crappy health care delivery system run by the federal government. A Coakley win would have also meant full steam ahead after that to cap and trade, card check, and reinstituting the fairness doctrine.
Whether the Republicans pick up 3-4 Senate seats or 7-8 in November doesn’t matter in one respect: the liberal agenda could not pass either way without 60 votes.

We’ll see if its a “gift” or not. I’m still betting that the Republicans do very well in November.

After the attacks on the character of Chief Justice Alito, I expect we will see more and more revulsion of the Left and greater success come November…
The ranting and raving from the folks who belied Obama would pay their mortgage and fill their gas tank will drown out the voices of reason in their camp…

It’s the “gift” that keeps on giving.
