Skepticism on Global Warming

By PoliPundit ~ December 18th, 2009 @ 9:13 am

Poll: “Fifty-six percent now say they don’t trust the things scientists say about the environment – up from 49 percent, itself a substantial number, a year and a half ago. Similarly, 62 percent perceive “a lot of disagreement” among scientists on whether global warming is happening, up points points from summer 2008.”

    Translation:

The right wing Lysenko shrill machine is working…cherry pick, distort, amplify, repeat. Right wing Lysenko science is that which fits a pre-determined political philosophy.

  2. Let's Not Mention That

Is there any other political party in the world that categorically rejects an anthropogenic cause of climate change for purely partisan reasons?

    GIGO. Its over, bub

What makes me laugh the most about AGW is that the Lord sends blizzards wherever they seem to meet. One might say it’s an anthropogenic snow-job…

What makes me angry the most is when they pull numbers out of their unwashed posteriors, erase actual climate records, and claim their exercise in anthropogenic scatology is “settled science.” My mom taught me not to crap on myself or fling it at others. Apparently the AGW crowd are related to the chimps at the zoo.

I seem to remember hearing the same sort of fervency when the Soviets were funding the Unilateral Disarmament protests a few years back (“http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/863783/posts”). I wonder who is funding this year’s crop of “useful idiots?”

Yes, if you were offended, I did mean you… ;-)

Cherry pick, distort, amplify, repeat. Hmm, sounds like a philosophy that’s done the guys at CRU well, along with the left wing shrill (media) machine, at least until they were caught out at it. Now, is there a political party that categorically accepts AGW for purely partisan reasons? I wonder…

Stunning that you are able to discern the Lord’s intentions…perhaps the overwhelming scientific consensus is the Lord’s way of giving YOU clues?

  8. L.

that’s done the guys at CRU well

Incorrect, another Lysenko propaganda job by the right.

Even if it were true, CRU is not the center nor the linchpin for or against the consensus.

It is the center of the cherry pick, distort, and amplify strategy of the Lysenkoists.

It is winter in the northern hemisphere, ’tis the season for the denialists to guffaw over the snow on their sidewalk.

  10. Let's Not Mention That

I see that The John Birch Society is going to be a sponsor a CPAC. Lots more conspiracy theories to come!

I don’t see how any citizen in the US citizen could be in favor of the Global-Warmist elitists pushing Crap-n-Trade on us. The evidence they have is sketchy at best — and it appears the scientific process was scuttled so that the elitists could “prove” their conclusion to match their agenda which is to enact taxes on “carbon producing” countries as a sort of “sin tax” — probably the elitists will be skimming $ from it just like has happened at the UN. This is a con-job conjured by the American and Euro elitists to rip off and further enslave in the US taxpayer in debt and dependency on central gov’t.

The US Constitution doesn’t say the citizens of the US have to be subjugated to other countries … in fact it takes measures to protect US sovereignty. People like “L.” either have a hidden ageda (perhaps he is an “elitist”) or he is naive, woe-fully informed Tree-Hugger … or perhaps an “American hating” US citizen.

    L. — please leave your real name and address please … when the Revolution gets in full gear, I’ll be glad to “escort” you Benedict Arnold types out of the country! I know you wont’ do it — that’s ok — I understand you liberals are a bunch of cowards.

Perhaps if you posted 5-10 more times you would convince posters that they can trust “massaged” data. Maybe throw in some additional name calling. That should do it.

    Hey, Let’s Not Mention That

Based on the image of the cat, I get the perception that the cat seems to have more going for it than you. Is it your alpha?

But the data hasn’t been “massaged”.

    That is your meme…Ken.

    Oops!

    Poof! No more AGW.

Ken is always good for a laugh, he quotes the Moscow Institute of Economic Analysis (IEA), but is willingly to ignore, say, NASA.

Ken is always good for a laugh, he has his ear to all of the denialist loudspeakers, and quotes them as if they are important, but never, ever stops to think out easy it is to link to any particular point of view:

“but never, ever stops to think out easy it is to link to any particular point of view:”

Here’s US government data with three (!) different predictors of temp change in NY. Which is correct? Maybe we should just ignore these reports and listen to the Chicken Littles?
