Senate Problems

By PoliPundit ~ November 9th, 2009 @ 11:26 pm

A few weeks ago, Harry Reid said, “Joe Lieberman is the least of Harry Reid’s problems.”

He’s right. Joe “Filibuster” Lieberman is the least of his problems.

He’s got to worry about other moderates not liking the public option.

And ultra-liberal senators, like Roland Burris and Bernie Sanders, wanting a stronger public option.

And the calendar.

And the Stupak complications.

And a potential House-Senate conference with two very different bills.

And Blanche Lincoln’s re-election.

And his own re-election.

Harry Reid is a busy man.

Not every president gets a rubber stamp congress.

According to Oak Leaf, the Dems have no problems whatsoever. The Dow is up. Therefore, all the Dems will be re-elected in 2010 and Obama will win a second term in a landslide.

  4. Let's Not Mention That

More shocking than a shooting spree:

“Gallup’s survey of Republicans found that 71 percent would consider voting for [Huckabee for president], more than for Palin, Romney or others. The same survey found that he’s the only Republican whom even 50 percent of Americans say they think is qualified to be president.”

Huckster is not militant enough for the militarists and the neoconservatives to get through the primary.

But I doubt he’ll figure that out.
