Who was the Rep?
November 7th, 2009 at 8:56 pm
Repubs should have voted against Stupak/Pitts.

Ahn “Joseph” Cao – a communist representing the 2nd District of Louisiana.

Well you can hardly blame Cao. What little chance he has of winning in 2010 would vanish if he voted no.
I’d rather have a R than a D in the seat even if he has to make votes like this from time to time.

This bill was endorsed by the AMA and AARP. It provided for moderate, common sense reforms. You and this website lose all credibility when you use words like “communist” to describe it. Do you consider the Medicare program and the VA system to be communist programs?

the AMA and AARP are clearly communist orginizations

This post is really worthy to read. Usually when the govt tries to fix something it broke in the first place, things usually only end up worse.
My biggest concern is that this is one more step toward a totalitarian government. Govt has NO business in private industry and the Health reform bill certainly creates a business section in the federal govt to provide health insurance (the public option). Here’s the problem with that in its most basic terms: health insurance companies, as you pointed out, are FOR PROFIT. The govt won’t run its health insurance company that way because it will always have OUR tax dollars to keep the company afloat, failing or otherwise. In fact, EXPECTING the “company” to lose money, the govt has
built additional taxes into the House bill. This is just one example of govt growth that is out of control. It has to stop. Hopefully the 2010 elections and 2012 elections
will make this message abundantly clear to those elected.
