Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME), on the Obamacare package that will be debated by the Senate:
“I am deeply disappointed with the Majority Leader’s decision to include a public option as the focus of the legislation.”
The votes of Snowe and Lieberman, both of whom strongly oppose the public option, will be necessary to break a Republican filibuster.
