For once, I agree with Lurch. Karzai should respond to the charges of election fraud, first, before we do anything.

You Wingnut Chickenhawks would crap your pants daily if you had to go through what Kerry did.

  3. MarkJ on October 17, 2009 at 4:45 pm

    McRock,

And what exactly did Kerry “go through?” Lurch spent a grand total of 4 months and 12 days in Vietnam (about 8 months less than any other surviving Swift Boat vet you can name) and, for all his anti-war rhetoric, hasn’t shut up about it since. Hell, Swiss Prep School Boy must really have PTSD: he’s repeatedly talked of war experiences “seared” into his memory that verifiably never happened.

Check out this website, put up by guys who also had to “go through” what Kerry allegedly experienced, and see who’s a liar. Go on McRock, you wuss, I quadruple dare you:

Kerry should shut his mouth and remain in the backgound. obama does not need and probably does not want his input. kerry is an embassment to the democratic party and his comments are not helping this president. why would obama want the support of this loser? this is the bozo that got gdub elected for the second time. please john, no more endorsements.

  5. invalid10 on October 17, 2009 at 6:48 pm

I think Kerry has a good point. No more troops until the new Afghan election.

Maybe they don’t want Hamid Karzai to be the ruler. Besides Obama doesn’t have the 80K troops he wants anyways.

    Mcchrystal wants 80K not 40K.
McClatchy Newspapers is citing officials in the Obama Administration and military as saying that the General’s “low-risk” option was actually even higher, asking for 80,000 additional troops for the war in Afghanistan.

Since Obama won the peace prize, I was reading over some Kissinger quotes since he’s a peace prize winner too.

    He has some dandy quotes.

“Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.”

Woodward and Bernstein The Final Days in chapter 14

Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will pledge with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will willingly be relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by their world government. ”

No, you stupid idiot, Rs rebelled with alarm when they saw the confiscation of arms after Katrina, and the commitment to open borders and amnesty, and the consideration of the LOST treaty.

Bush numbers were to low because the right turned away from him in disgust, as well as the middle. Open borders, UN sovereignty, LOST, and arms confiscation are wet dreams of the LEFT, not the right.

And Obama favors all these policies as well, which is why only leftists and a very few independents are still with him, and this number is dropping by the day.

Bush rapidly became a joke during his second term, and accelerated alarming trends he had put in place during his first term, while our side was trying to get him to turn away from these things.

But this was because he became MORE like you lefties, not less like you, and the country is waking up to this as your fellow, Obammunist, extends these trends even farther.

Bush was closer to you lefties than you’d care to notice, and the people know that will not work out well for them.

And what we cheered, numbnuts, the little that we did, was the traditional things we righties DO cheer.

When Bush limited government by cutting taxes, freed us from the constraints of the counterproductive and outdated ABM treaty, and the ridiculous Kyoto protocol, all based on clearly false assumptions and bad science, THEN we cheered. When he chased our self-declared enemies down and KILLED them, THEN we cheered.

So you communists have it all wrong as usual, and you’re doing all the wrong things as usual, and you’re stopping the good and continuing to the bad as usual, and you’ll be defeated at the ballot box as usual.

    You gd lying communists…

You communists can’t tell the truth for one second. All you’re doing is denying what is obvious to everyone, and projecting your own psychoses onto others.

The majority of Americans say there’s too much government, they don’t want Obamacare, nor cap and trade, nor amnesty, nor lost, nor gun bans, nor school indoctrination, any of it.

So Obama will be thrown out for pushing this crap, just as Bush was thrown out of pushing quite a bit of it, and the Dems will be first to realize this.

The American people want free market based health care reform, spending cuts, a strong army, immigration enforcement, US sovereignty, they want JOBS, and they want to run their own retirements, health care, and lives, without the nanny state you libs keep pushing.

And you’re about to find this out, you gdlcs.

Don’t worry, won’t happen under Obama. Won’t stop you from obsessing though.

    school indoctrination

I’ve always wondered, why is it that the “liberals” have a supposed stranglehold on the public education system, is it because the right wing deigns not to be teachers? That wouldn’t be fair, to elect not to participate in the schools, but want to decide how they should be run. Or is it some conspiracy, the right wants to be teachers, but the “liberals” won’t let them?

McRock have you ever seen Kerrys medical records describing his “injuries”. Your kid came home from an afternoon at the playground with more serious wounds. One of his wounds required cleaning and the other required cleaning and a bandage. He put himself in for his Purple Hearts. He spent 4 months in Nam. I spent 2 tours and you’ll find most nam vets think he’s a joke. Get your story straight before you spew. BTW…he made his medical records public on his own website in 2003 and they were pulled withing hours after in was seen how silly his injuries were.

    Where did you read that?

Purple Hearts were common for the Mekong Delta, weren’t they? And they aren’t parsed for severity of injury.

Perhaps there should be different levels of Purple Hearts, but there aren’t.

Vice Adm. R.A. Route, the Navy inspector general, reviewed the Purple Heart awards for Kerry and found nothing suspicious.

  24. chuck on October 18, 2009 at 4:25 pm

So the president wants to take time to see what will be the best responce to more troops in Afghanistan… How dare he just not go in and do whatever the military and defence contractors want he must be a socialist. As far as Senator Kerry is concerned at least he served in the military. I guess his dad couldn’t get hima deferal like W’s daddy. GWB was so drunk most of his tour with the ANG his commanding officer wouldn’t let him fly. And then we have that coward VP with six deferments from Nam who hid for most of the eight years in, or under, the White House. Let’s not forget Rummy who never served in the military but was Sec/Def. Considering how they screwed up the Iraq/Afgan wars why shouldn’t Kerry, Obama, and the people take a hard look at what would be the best course of action. At what point do you reach down and find your manhood an do what is right? Maybe right after we elect a Black President.

Just saying you are “just wrong”.

Ignoring the despicableness of arguing that John Kerry’s wounds were not serious enough, none of my three children ever came home from the playground with shrapnel in their leg, which Senator Kerry still has.

The fact is the military gave him those purple hearts – and they frankly did not realize that they should have let you advice them on when to give medals. You also ignore that he also received two prestigious medals, the bronze star with valor and the silver star.

The fact is the right refused to accept that a Massachusetts Senator could be many things that he would have loved their candidate to be. Imagine how happy they would be with a genuine war hero, who risked his life to save another, who was athletic even in his late 50s – having played 4 sports in college, not to mention he is a hunter and he played in a high school rock band. Then throw in he is the best debator of his generation. Not to mention, he prosecuted a top mafia person in MA and he, almost single handedly ran the investigation into BCCI. The information from that was used by the NYC DA to close OBL’s bank. Another product of that 5 year investigation – legislation implemented after 911, though written in the 1990s and blocked by both parties, that provides the tools to counter international money laundering by international criminals, including non-state terrorists.

Oh, as to the OP’s photo, no way is that Jane Fonda. She was far more stylish and would never have worn pants like that. In addition to the fact that she and Kerry never actually met in the early 1970s.

  33. L. on October 19, 2009 at 9:44 am

You took my quote out of context, read the rest of the sentence.

Then you go on and make absurd statements based upon a misquoting.

To reiterate my main point, I was wondering why the right complains about the “liberal” stranglehold on education, yet the right seems to not participate in education at any level. They are merely whining from the sidelines, rather than rolling up their sleeves and getting to work.

  37. the aura of truthiness on October 20, 2009 at 7:13 am

No, you’re completely in context. You believe you lefty kooks own and run the education system, and that nobody else is involved. You’re a kook.

The mainstream of this country participates in education at the proper level, which is as the owners and payers and participants of it. That is the work… owning and paying and sending their kids to what they own and pay for.

Unfortunately, the kooky Left thinks IT is the owners.

That’s why they’re kooks. NOBODY but the kooks believe that nonsense. NOBODY.

Attacking John Kerry for what he went through in Vietnam doesn’t make a lot of sense. At least he went there and was exposed to combat. (I believe he earned a Purple Heart). You don’t have to be a hero with medals dangling from your chest to understand what real warfare is like and that it is not something to be dealt with casually. Kerry, unlike John McCain, was in combat on the ground, with bullets flying all around him. McCain was captured after a failed bombing run, then got captured and sat in a cell. Which guy knows more about the nature of combat? I’d go with the grunt on the ground. It is sadly ironic that none of the men who wanted to invade Iraq had ever faced combat. The only member of Bush’s cabinet that was against the invasion was a combat veteran, Colin Powell. And one of the few people in the Senate who wasn’t for that ill-fated invasion was Barack Obama.
