Yeah, there will be some defections, particularly after the Virginia election results in 21 days… right in Dr. Obambi’s backyard… and right where the congresscritters live.
Snow is a forever RINO, and will win reelection no matter what she does. She provides scant cover for a few, but not much, come November 2010. And that cover will get stripped away with just a few campaign commercials, and they will be left standing there alone with Obambi, Pelosi, a +10% unemployment rate, bailouts and massive government spending increases. Good luck, lefties.

At present Snowe is exactly the kind of Republican the RNC is promoting right now:
“Centrist, can work with the popular President, blah, blah, blah.”
The Peggy Noonan/David Frum-types don’t hate her like they hate Sarah Palin.
Think the RNC will do a 180 anytime soon?

If you think the current bill is triggering protests\teaparties, and it passes, and then Obama starts immigration reform…I can’t imagine just how large the of an out cry there will be.
Wilh Bush (and McCain) everything was muffled protests\hard to hear much protest because he was the spokesman for the party.
I just realized that with with Obama in charge, and the right-wing base riled up, the issues will be explosive. This will be very interesting to watch.
