Since the Nobel Committee now seems to practice affirmative action, it’s interesting to see who gets hurt by affirmative action every day:
Thomas Espenshade, a Princeton sociologist, calculated that African-Americans who achieved 1150 scores on the two original SAT tests had the same chances of getting accepted to top private colleges in 1997 as whites who scored 1460s and Asians who scored perfect 1600s.

In 2006, an Asian student who scored a perfect 2400 on the three SAT tests filed a federal complaint against Princeton alleging the university rejected him because of anti-Asian bias. The U.S. Department of Education is now examining Princeton’s admissions policies.

Espenshade found that when comparing applicants with similar grades, scores, athletic qualifications, and family history for seven elite private colleges and universities:
– Whites were three times as likely to get fat envelopes as Asians.
– Hispanics were twice as likely to win admission as whites.
– African-Americans were at least five times as likely to be accepted as whites.
Also, you have to be the Dalai Lama to win the Nobel Peace Prize if you’re Asian. Getting elected will suffice if you’re African-American. Even if you refuse to meet with the Dalai Lama.

Also, you have to be the Dalai Lama to win the Nobel Peace Prize if you’re Asian.
Huh? How about Kim Dae Jung in 2000; Aung San Suu Kyi in 1991? There are additional names if you consider East Timor and Bangladesh as Asia.

George Will is correct. Affirmative Action does violence to the Constitution.
Thomas is an Affirmative Action baby. He has done violence to a Constitution he cannot uphold.

Nothing affirmative about any of that action. I guess they got that tingle up their leg.
Here’s your prize, now do something peaceful so we don’t look like a bunch of giddy schoolgirls.
Looks like he’s ready to surrender to the Taliban. Leftists equate surrender to peace. Mission accomplished. How special. Can’t wait to see what charity he gives the dough to.
