Is this what goes on in our schools today? Spending hours memorizing and practicing the performance of a chorus sung in praise of a frickin’ politician?

This is beyond outrageous. No wonder the Asian schools blow ours away. Theirs aren’t rotted out and filled with garbage like this, I’m sure.

Yes, those presidents gave speeches to the kids, and after Obambi was shamed into backing off the lesson plan indoctrination that his White House originally schemed, he fell back into the same type of speech the others did. Fine that he finally did the right thing, after being shamed into doing it, as with the Jones firing.

Of course, as we see in that video, the sluggards in our substandard-to-the-rest-of-the-world educational system decided to spend hours developing chorus hosannas to their messiah, which is why our educational system will continue to fall behind Asia’s for example.

I can only imagine the hysteria that would have occured on the left if a some teacher would have put together a similar demonstration to pay homage to Bush when he was president. Our school system needs an overhaul that’s for sure. I feel like our children are not learning at the pace they need to. They are stuck memorizing things instead of learning. They are not challenged enough and therefore we are seeing more and more young minds fall prey to drug addiction so that we become slaves ourselves.

You are delusional. The attacks began right after 2000 with the “He stole the election” crap followed by the “He’s not MY president” line. And it went on from there. There was a brief respite after 9/11, but it didn’t take long for the national unity to disipate. Once the donks saw that support for the war was waning, they decided to use it as political tool to regain power.

My point was it is rather hypocritical for Lurkingman to be “aghast” at the anti-Obama comments when I am POSITIVE he was marching in lockstep with the vocal anti-Bush crowd for 8 years.

You and your ilk justify it with the “He earned it” line, which is fine. But demonstrating your arrogance in spades, you assume that conservatives railing against Obama has nothing to do with Obama’s policies and the direction he is trying to take the country, but that it is just rooted in hatred for the man.
