Wall of Shame

11 senators voted today to take your money and give it to ACORN. You might want to call them and let them know what you think of that…

Roland Burris (D, IL) (202) 224-2854
Bob Casey (D, PA) (202) 224-6324
Dick Durbin (D, IL) (202) 224-2152
Dianne Feinstein (D, CA) (202) 224-3841
Kirsten Gillibrand (D, NY) (202) 224-4451
Tom Harkin (D, IA) (202) 224-3254
Pat Leahy (D, VT) (202) 224-4242

Surprised Harkin went for this, but he musta owed somebody a vote. He’s not up for reelection ’til 2014, so he might be safe.
Casey is up in 2012. He could be in deep trouble. Surprised he’d take this risk.
Bingaman is a fixture and won big last time, but he’s for cap and tax in a big way, and he’s up in 2012 as well. He may not even run then, but he could be vulnerable if not. This vote will not sit well in New Mexico.
Kuhlifornia is a wild card in the near future, and Feinstein is taking some measure of risk, although she’s likely too old to run again, so this may be a safe vote.
This vote is perfect campaign fodder. Anybody taking it better be sitting in a safe lefty seat, because their campaign opposition is gonna paint them as enabling child prostitution… plain and simple.

To be fair to Feinstein, her vote here was just a grumpy vote because Senator Mike Johanns (R-NE) wouldn’t let his ACORN amendment to her Interior department funding bill (which, BTW, didn’t allocate any funds to ACORN) pass on a unanimous voice vote; he insisted on a roll call vote.

Stunned that Oregon isn’t on the list.
