San Diego ObamaCare Protest

By W.C. Varones ~ July 11th, 2009 @ 12:19 pm

The crowd as I approached before the 10am kickoff. I would estimate it grew to more than 100 eventually.

Dawn Wildman, one of the founders of the local tea party movement.

Leslie Eastman, another local founding mother.

Yes, this is about ObamaCare. But we still hate Schwarzenegger.

The tourists on the bus checked out the scene. Some passing motorists gave supportive honks.

Good point.

Mason Weaver, a great speaker, radio host, and, judging by the “Draft Mason Weaver” signs in the crowd, possible Congressional candidate.

Founding member, Babies Against Communism

About 15 Obamunists showed up to counter-protest across the street. They shouted a lot but were largely ignored.

With Medicare and Medicaid, we already have socialized medicine. Why have these people just now awaken? I think it is too late to stop it. The American public has been conditioned for years to believe that somebody other than themselves (e.g. employer and government) should pay for their health-care. For years polls have stated that the public agrees with Democrats on health-care. Now they have elected the Dems to full control of the both political branches, they are going to get what they ask for. They will not like it.

The congress might ACTUALLY be useful for once if it was focusing on prosecuting Bush and not on passing Obama’s agenda. The problem is Obama wants to keep the nation unified so he can make the government larger.

    More on Bush Crimes…

Bush govt built unprecedented surveillance operation: Report.
The FISA court was of course mandated to monitor the wiretapping only they weren’t informed because it was “still too secret to reveal.” So it turns out that the FISA court was a monkey show distraction to the Bush administration.

Number of years BEFORE the Attorney General (John Ashcroft) of the United States, highest law enforcement officer in the country, was permitted to know of the existence of these activities: 3

Number of Inspectors General reporting the existence of “unprecedented collection activities” going “beyond warrantless wiretapping”: 5

Public disclosures regarding the nature of these “unprecedented collection activities”: 0

Number of violations of Americans’ constitutional liberties engaged in by these programs: Unknown

    Good point from Duane Patterson:

“In Ghana, Obama defended his stimulus plan, and make no mistake, this is his albatross, by saying, “It has already extended unemployment insurance and health insurance to those who have lost their jobs in this recession.” The problem is, that’s not what the stimulus was intended to do. It was all about job creation – shovel-ready work projects. Extending the welfare safety net isn’t economic stimulus. It’s welfare extension.”

And Larry Kudlow takes it further:

“Here’s the clincher: Year-to-date, Dow Jones stocks are off 7 percent, while China stocks are up 71 percent. The world index is up 4 percent. Emerging markets are up 25 percent. They’re all beating us. None of this is good.
We’re going the wrong way. That’s why stock markets are not voting for the United States anymore.”

    Patteson concludes:

“The stimulus is widely regarded to be a bust, not a boon to economic recovery. And that’s without all the money even being spent yet. It is so much a bust that there are Democratic rumblings amongst administration officials and Congress to double down on the mistake and spend their way further into another stimulus bill, something that even President Obama is unwilling to do. Even Joe Biden tried to spin the ineffectiveness of the first stimulus by admitting they, the administration, misread the economy.”

To: 19%ers (White, rural, right-wing fringe idiots from “real” America)

From: 58%ers (Smart, educated, urban and urbane REAL Americans who are effectively working to create a more civilized, European-style world.)

Ha Ha Ha! You hear us? He He He Hee Hee Hooooo….

We love it! We love that you guys have your underwear in a bunch, that you are brimming with anger, that you can barely see because of your apoplexy. We will enjoy it for the next eight years. Oh the world is changing, and it is sweet. Universal health care is on the way, and nothing you can do will stop it. You will spend the next 50 years trying to dismantle it to no avail, just like you’ve been trying to dismantle Social Security since the 1930s. The energy bill will change the planet and the US for the better, and there’s nothing you can do about it. You hear us? NOTHING!!!!

    HA HA HA HA HA!!!

We love it that you love Sarah Palin. Please please please nominate her for President in 2012. Nothing will ensure another four years of progress than that. Oh sure, at some point, another Republican will get elected (2020?). No majority lasts forever (Mr. Rove). But that person will not be able to undo the progress that the Obama administration will have set in stone. Social Security and Civil Rights are now a fait accompli, and though idiots still try to attack them at the fringes, they aren’t going anywhere. The same will happen with all the Obama programs. Your greatest fears are being realized: a new world order is at hand!

And by the way, your numbers will keep dwindling. You are 19% of the population right now, but demographics are not on your side. Soon, white people will be a minority. Our increasingly numerous Black and Hispanic brethren and our growing urban centers will ensure your voices will continue to be marginalized until some day in the not-so-distant future they will be extinguished, just as backward, reactionary, pseudo-christian redneck zealotry always is.

Enjoy it while you can, suckers!!!! BWAAAAA-HAAAAAA-HAAAAAAA!

Sarah Palin Reports That Reportedly Sarah Palin Will Stay in Politics
    ——————————————————————
Sarah Palin has linked from her (does she run her own facebook?) facebook page and her SarahPAC fundraising website to a blogger’s musing that recent events: “lead one to believe that she is indeed planning to do what she must: build an independent conservative movement and take this nation back from the liberals which now control both parties. One thing I will say, the Washington Times with their headline for this exclusive interview reveal an anti-Palin stance…”

McCain: CIA Program Secrecy Story Just Beginning…

Although there is CLEARLY not judicial precedent for Bush’s domestic spying programs, there probably is practical precedent when you compare him to FDR, etc etc etc so I doubt too many Bush people would end up in jail even if they were intentionally breaking the law.

However, I think the torture stuff has legs since that can outrage Americans much easier than arguing over constitutional rights.

Well, it’s comforting to know that the kind of liberals posting above are the ones running the government now. Those kind certainly inspire confidence, don’t they? Is it any wonder why China, India, et al are not buying our debt any more?

Can’t blame them for being hysterical – liberalism fails when exposed to the light:

“Pubic polling Top Gun Scott Rasmussen reports his latest findings:

Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 key electoral issues, including, for the second straight month, the top issue of the economy. They’ve also narrowed the gap on the remaining two issues, the traditionally Democratic strong suits of health care and education”

Piss poor turnout. San Diego with its perefct year round weather has much more appealing activities than political protests.
