Stimulus Number Two, Here It Comes!!

The dirty little secret about “Stimulus Number One” is that most of the money has not been spent yet, so it is impossible to to claim it as a success or a failure. But that is too boring and does not garner a catchy political slogan.
Well now that the GOP has given plenty of fuel for the fire, look out because here it comes;
An economic adviser to President Barack Obama on Tuesday said the United States should plan for a possible second round of fiscal stimulus to boost the economy, news reports said.

Republicans have no way to stop him,remember? The Dems have 60 votes in the senate and a big advantage in the house. Our future lies with the Blue Dogs showing some spine,and joining the Republicans to oppose this “man”.

I see Obma is down to 52% in Rasmussen today. (-3) Lowest ever. Of course ABC still has him at 65%!

I’d say stimulus 1 is a failure.
Remember Obama pushed it through as quickly as possible because the money was needed immediately. Didn’t even let people read it. Then they can’t get the money out where it was needed. And the money went to places that wouldn’t help the average American anyhow!
Oh my 92 yr. old mother got a $250 check. And what does she do–place it in savings. That isn’t going to stimulate anything.

A conservative would take the check, but not spend it in order be contrary, and then say, “See, I told you so!”

You make it sound like my mom has, or should have, a hidden agenda. At her age I think she is more worried about whether she gets The Rosary said today.
OH NO! Darden Restaurants are down .30 today on the stock market. I better find a Red Lobster to eat at to help them out.

Wouldn’t Stimulus 1 have been the $182 Billion or so the Dems flushed down the toilet right after they took control of the House and Senate?
That sure helped….
Stimulus 2 would be Barack’s big Adventure, the biggest waste of ANY nation’s tax dollars in the History of man.
We will see if Stimulus 3 can top even that!!!
