Gov Crist. I know alot of Republicans won’t like him. But I see him as someone who can help the country. I see him being the front runner for the GOP ticket in 2012. Hey, you guys could do alot worse. Run Palin. See where it gets you. Crist is your best option. But why listen to me? From what I’ve seen of Gov’ Crist, he seems authentic. We’ll see how he handles the up coming hurricanes in Fla this year.
I consider Gov Crist the only real threat in2012.

You don’t show the bright side of this….. First, it’s a closed primary. Second, we have a sitting Governor (McCainite) against a former House leader who is considered to be a conservative. Finally, when Repubs are polled, Crist and Rubio are basically tied in the polls …33-31….

I can’t take credit for this one, but a reader on another site nailed it when he/she said the problem with folks like Charlie Crist is that they damage the GOP brand and don’t provide a firewall to Democrat over-reach. He’s already signed a tax increase into law and would have voted for the $787 billion porkulus had he been in office, yet he’s sending out fundraising appeals asking donors to support his campaign for “less taxes, less spending and less government.” Yeah, right! This is the kind of behavior that cost Republicans their majorities in 2006 and led to a follow up drubbing in 2008. If the choice before voters is Democrat versus Democrat-lite, they’ll choose the real thing.

Via Ace of Spades HQ, we see that Gallup is reporting that the public’s perception of the Democratic party have just flipped, with a plurality of the population now thinking that the party is too liberal (for the first time since 1996).
Via Rasmussen, we see that a plurality of the population doesn’t like this bill (41%) and doesn’t think that it’ll help the economy (42%). That’s a lot of Earth traitors.
And, oh, yes: the GOP flipped the generic Congressional ballot again – although that last will probably bounce back and forth for a while.
