Crazy Boxer
Remember when Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) wept as Dubya was getting re-elected? Well, she doesn’t seem to have improved much:
Brigadier General Michael Walsh appeared before the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works yesterday to discuss the restoration process of the New Orleans’ levee system due to the damage created by Hurricane Katrina.
There’s still a lot of work to be done. Billions of dollars have been spent and there are no permanent structures in some areas that would prevent such a disaster from occurring again.
Obviously Committee Chairwoman Barbara Boxer has a right to be concerned with this. After all, it’s her committee.
Did she voice her concern?
Absolutely. But what got her most rankled was when she wasn’t addressed properly. It seems that “ma’am” — a term deemed appropriate by a Military Protocol guide — isn’t good enough for the senator. She demands the title “Senator”. So much so that she interrupted his testimony to scold him for the apparent lack of respect.
When beginning to address one of her questions,
BoxerSenator Boxer immediately cut him off to correct him.“You know, do me a favor,”
BoxerSenator Boxer demanded. “Could say ’senator’ instead of ‘ma’am?’”“Yes, ma’am,” Walsh answered.
“It’s just a thing, I worked so hard to get that title, so I’d appreciate it, yes, thank you,”
BoxerSenator Boxer continued.“Yes, senator,” he said.

I am sure he worked harder to get his title.

Remember, Californians voted for this clown–I’m sorry, Senator Clown. Maybe Obama can screw up enough to where someone without an oxygen-deprived brain can win this seat next year. It’s not likely, but it is possible.

FYI: Sir/Ma’am is standard operationg procedure in the military when addressing a senior. Actually, addressing a superior officer by his/her rank is a subtle insult.
therefore, when she aske to be called “senator” , she gave the General permission to insult her. AND SHE DIDN”T EVEN KNOW IT. Doncha love it?
June 18th, 2009 at 6:20 pm
FYI Ma’am didn’t address him as Brigadier General all the time either when I saw this on Fox News. Titles are a two way street. When I used to watch CSPAN a ton of the donkeys never really addressed their guests or whatever you call them by their titles.

The Senator has an obvious disdain for the miltary and their long held traditonal protocol.

Here is a 72 year old donkey who thinks that it is against the law to speak one’s mind. I guess that the first amendment only applies to donkeys LOL!!!

Busted: BBC Caught In Mass Public Deception With Iran Propaganda.
News corporation uses photo from pro-Ahmadinejad rally, claims it represents anti-government protest.
The BBC has again been caught engaging in mass public deception by using photographs of pro-Ahmadinejad rallies in Iran and claiming they represent anti-government protests in favor of Hossein Mousavi.
An image used by the L.A. Times on the front page of its website Tuesday showed Iranian President Ahmadinejad waving to a crowd of supporters at a public event.
In a story covering the election protests yesterday, the BBC News website used a closer shot of the same scene, but with Ahmadinejad cut out of the frame. The caption under the photograph read, ‘Supporters of Mir Hossein Mousavi again defied a ban on protests’.
The BBC photograph is clearly a similar shot of the same pro-Ahmadinejad rally featured in the L.A. Times image, yet the caption erroneously claims it represents anti-Ahmadinejad protesters.

Looks like acroso wasn’t getting enough attention so he finds an offensive, misogynistic Gravatar.
This site continues to degrade thanks to oak leaf and acroso/invalid10 with the blessings of Polipundit apparently.
Cue fred.

15 trillion dollar Bank bailouts of 2008-2009 may exceed 206 years of spending.

Hmmm the BBC supposedly changed the headline, but looking at the two photos I think they really were from different rallies.

photo 2
I see speakers in one and also the different curtain blinds in the way back building.
It came from the what really happened website.

Senator Ensign

Senator Ensign, the GOP culture of corruption.
June 19th, 2009 at 7:14 am
Ensign. Promise Keeper. Republican. Hypocrite.
June 19th, 2009 at 7:46 am
LOL Pluto!
So are you suggesting Clinton SHOULD have been impeached then? At least Ensign went public and is taking his punishment like a man.
I think your search for hypocrisy need not go further than your mirror.
How about Dick Durbin and his wanton profiteering off the financial crisis?

Remember the Campaign for Liberty’s treasurer who was detained at the St. Louis airport on the way to the St. Louis C4L convention for carrying a large amount of cash on him?
Ron Paul’s C4L sues TSA for illegal airport detentions.

When I was growing up, I learned to call my dad Sir and my mom Maam. This was respect. In the military, it was also standard practice, but when I was required to show respect of a senior’s rank when I did not actually respect the person, I would use their title, such as “yes Commander.” There is not doubt that the person is a commander (or a Senator) and requires a show of respect for their position, but there is doubt if they deserve respect as a person.
Perhaps the Senator is troubled by a General who shows respect; it disrupts her established view of the military.

I want to see that clip of McCain ripping Boxer on Hannity show. I read about it somewhere.

McCain rips Boxer.
McCain was funny. Hannity’s robotic, eerie laugh ruined it though.

I think the General should have said: No, I don’t think I’ll call you Senator. I’ll just call you bitch.
Pluto and Let’s Not Mention That give new meaning to the phrase: you can’t polish a turd.

Yes, the GOP will always have Clinton’s impeachment–that will stain Slick Willie’s historical standing forever. Suck on it, Pluto.

Great piece of writing and it is worth mentioning that Mini blinds are notorious for collecting dust. Their horizontal position creates a flat surface for dust to land on. In addition, they
