Survey says: No more bailouts!

By W.C. Varones ~ June 18th, 2009 @ 6:28 am

It’s not just the teabaggers anymore. Americans in general are getting tired of government intervention and deficits:

Nearly seven in 10 survey respondents said they had concerns about federal interventions into the economy, including Mr. Obama’s decision to take an ownership stake in General Motors Corp., limits on executive compensation and the prospect of more government involvement in health care. The negative feeling toward the GM rescue was reflected elsewhere in the survey as well.

A solid majority — 58% — said that the president and Congress should focus on keeping the budget deficit down, even if takes longer for the economy to recover.

How’s that communist health care plan looking, Barry?

There still remains this mysterious gap between Pres. Obama’s personal popularity (56%) and what people think of his policies (don’t like or trust them).

Internationally, the populace seems to condone Obama “courting the world.” However, in reverse sentiment, they don’t like him bailing out and intruding on private enterprise like he obsessively continues to do.

Obama says anything depending on where he’s standing or is he just clever?

Obama told AIPAC that Jerusalem must never be divided, and that it must remain Jewish. Then a year later he goes to Cairo, and says that he imagines Jerusalem with all faces intermingling.
