To Serve

By W.C. Varones ~ June 1st, 2009 @ 4:08 pm

I was inspired by Barack Obama in this public service announcement to find a way to serve my country.

I went, as requested, to usaservice.org, which redirects to www.serve.gov.

This is the local service opportunity I found:

2nd Annual Obama Loving Day Potluck BBQ & Pool Party (Community Service)

Last years’ BBQ was a big hit and we have decided to have the event again to celebrate diversity, love, our Obama victory and our continued fight for marriage equity for all Californians. Please announce the BBQ in all of your newsletters and blogs.

[...]

Come and celebrate Barack’s mixed heritage and the Loving Supreme Court Decision that struck down laws against interracial marriage, and the new fight for marriage equality. Reunite with campaign friends and meet new Change movement organizers and volunteers. Find out how you can get more involved!

[...]

Suggested Donation: $10 for Adults, $5 for Kids/Students

Funds fundraised go to OC and San Diego Military and Veterans for Change Outreach Program – La Jolla Democratic Club.

How better to serve our country than to gather and worship our Dear Leader and raise funds for the Party!

Pass the puking bowl. We need to mobilize to take the Congress away from this wretch in 2010 and kick him out of the White House in 2012. We are in trouble with this demagogue, I’m not fooling.

    What?
Still No thread about the murder of Dr Tiller?
    Oh yeah, IOKIYAR.

I was about to record a devastatingly brilliant comment about the topic of this thread, but then I noticed the comment by “mudshark”, who wondered ’bout some Dr Tiller. That does seem a more pressing moment: what, indeed, ’bout the murder of Dr Tiller? Well, as reported by the MSM, it was a murder. I generally take anything reported by the MSM with a HUGE grain-of-salt, but this seems sufficiently straight-forward that I’m willing, at least provisionally, to stipulate that the said victim was, indeed, murdered. Murder is murder, so, if the murderer is apprehended and duly convicted, by trial-and-jury, then so be it. And I certainly hope that will ensue: murderers should be apprehended and convicted, and suffer the legal consequences, be they death or life-imprisonment. (When I say I hope that will ensue, of course I mean that I hope the actual murdered will be apprehended and convicted. I have no idea whether or not the person apprehended, as of this writing, is really the murderer.)

assuming the real murderer of Dr Tiller is apprehended and duly convicted, as he/she should be, what of Dr Tiller himself? Why was he never apprehended and convicted of murder? Because what he did (as reported by the MSM) was not, legally, a crime. OK, that is, legally, the end of the matter. But, by any common sense rendering of the facts-on-the-ground, what he did was “murder”. He killed innocent babies who differentiated themselves from other babies only by the fact that they were, yet, a few days/weeks short of delivery. ONLY BY THAT! But he killed them. And legally so. It is a moral (not a legal) damnation upon his soul that he killed them. And a moral damnation upon our polity that he did that legally. The largest moral damnation rests upon US, for sanctioning, within our polity, the Killing of Babies. But not upon US, without differentiation. lA damnation upon those of US who support/condone such an Abomination. (Read, Liberals!) One might counter that, in a democracy, the will of the majority in such matters holds sway. But there has been no WILL OF THE MAJORITY in this matter! Just a majority of the (soi-disant) Supreme Court, which has usurped the rightful majority of the people, in this matter!

Prosecute, to the full extent of existing law, the murderer of Dr Tiller. Then put the question to the electorate (not the courts!): Is the killing of (yet unborn) babies Murder, or not?

    W. C.-I’d let Oak Leaf know about the BBQ event in California. I’m sure he’d be interested in the Obama lovefest.

Authorities said it appeared that the owner of the residence and the outbuildings had the proper permits and was not expected to be arrested.

    Let’s not mention that.

The guy accidently blew up his own house . . . with the proper permits of course. HAHAHAHA!

Yeh HAHA. It was a storage shed, but why does that amuse you?

You continue to prove that the left is all about hate, but they are hating all the right people so its OK and nothing to be ashamed of.

    Thanks Brad! Funny story!!!

Ammo sales through the roof . . . or what’s left of the roof anyway.

Please be careful out there. Polipundit can’t lose any more readers as it is.

    Thanks Brad! Funny story!!!

Enlighten me, what exactly is funny about it?

You probably think it’s funny that the Muslim shot the soldiers at the recruiting center too. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

No 0bama comment on that shooting like the abortionist got.

Nothing but silence from the administration. Why am I not surprised? Chickens coming home to roost I guess. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

“Enlighten me, what exactly is funny about it?”

It’s like a Roadrunner cartoon come to life. The only thing missing was that he didn’t send away to Walla Walla, Washington for Acme ammo.
