November 2008: Obama to engage North Korea directly, no pre-conditions
The incoming Barack Obama administration will engage North Korea directly without pre-conditions to persuade the communist state to abandon its nuclear ambitions, Yonhap News Agency reported citing a policy plan issued by the presidential team.
“Obama and Biden will pursue tough, direct diplomacy without preconditions with all nations, friend and foes,” said the Obama-Biden Plan posted in the web site of the transition team.
“They will do the careful preparation necessary, but will signal that America is ready to come to the table and is willing to lead.”
The policy direction is in line with Obama’s campaign pledge that he will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il without any conditions attached.
Obama dismissed Republican rival John McCain’s criticism at a presidential debate last month that it is naive to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il without preconditions, saying Bush’s reluctance to deal directly with North Korea resulted in the North’s detonation of its first nuclear device in 2006 and the quadrupling of its nuclear weapons to eight by the end of Bush’s eight years in office.

In response, Obama’s State Department has indicated its willingness to use any means necessary to stop North Korea: they may even go talk to the United Nations.
In totally unrelated news, the Obama Administration is going to stop wasting money on missile defense!

Barak Obama has always seemed like an irresponsible cannon ball rolling around. He exercises power without wisdom, guile rather than honesty.
But, when it comes to foreign affairs, that is where Obama’s defects, causing a mishandling of someone’s else’s show-of-force, could be truly ruinous for this country, for the world!
I have no faith in BO’s words, nor his “assumptions” about the intentions and capacities of onerous powers rattling their sabers around us.

The only pre-condition will be the notion that America is to blame for this, especially George Bush. You’ve already seen it displayed here by the parrots.
0Bama will just acknowledge that we suck at that will solve all the world’s problems.
The adults know that it will only make matters worse and embolden the other two-bit tyrants. But hey, wtf…it can always be blamed on Bush.

I for one feel just so SAFE & SECURE know that the DEAR LEADER, the LIGHTBRINGER, indeed THE ONE is bravely & forcefuly negotiating with tyrants on my behalf. No one can stand before the unstoppable force of his charisma and soon the N. Koreans will be beating their nuclear swords into plough shears. No doubt right now their little pol pot is having a revelation, a light will shine down upon him, and he will be regretting his little nuclear tantrum. You’ll see, you doubters! You’ll see!
