100,000 Epic Fail

By Oak Leaf ~ May 19th, 2009 @ 3:17 am

The People of Mexico have taken tremendous steps to contain the viral outbreak and deserve gratitude and applause for their efforts;

Mexican office workers are being forced to sit six feet apart and cinemas must allow a spare seat either side of each customer as tough new regulations are imposed after the peak of the swine flu outbreak.

France is rated the best prepared;

The WHO has praised the UK – along with France – for being the best prepared.

More than 30m courses of anti-viral drugs have been bought – enough to treat half the population.

The United States? With the highest per capita in health care spending?

CDC officials say around 100,000 people are likely infected with the new flu strain in the United States and Schuchat said the 5,123 confirmed and probable cases and six deaths in the United States were “the tip of the iceberg.”

I applaud President George W. Bush for starting the process.

But what can you expect in a country that has essentially universal “health education” where they teach how to use a condom but never mention that you need to sneeze into your arm, not your hand.

This is a dry run for something that may be much worse and the United States has failed.

    My daughter was taught to sneeze into her arm, in kindergarten, in a public school of all places, and she even lectured her pediatrician about it. ^_^

    [Maybe there is hope. Yesterday, it seemed like everyone was in a sneeze contest to see how far they could send projectiles. OL]

    I can hardly wait for today’s penny stock listings.

    What looks good today, Colonel?

    My portfolio is a bit topheavy with Dillard’s, Red Lobster, Dr. Pepper and Snapple…..

    Where the country has failed is by electing your idol, Tears of Joy.

    With government-run nationalized health care, the country will be completely unable to respond to a pandemic crisis.

    One of the many unexpected effects of socialized medicine, coming soon.

    Getcha pom-pons ready!

    drood-I’m waiting for the success of the day from Oak Leaf too.

    Sorta like me in gardening. I plant 50 gladiolas. One plant grows to be beautiful and the other forty-nine do nothing. By Oak’s thinking it was a success and I should cheer about the one and how wonderful my garden is.

    One company does great and the economy is in great shape. Forty-nine companies lay off employees and have sales drop—Ignore them and continue saying how great the economy is.

    Or sneeze on your hands as you walk to the sink to wash them.

    This site is kind of top-heavy with trolls, these days, it seems to me. Poli and Oak Leaf, you may wish to consider deleting comments and even banning IPs. Just saying.

    The Trolls come to listen and learn from the master…. the Troll who made it to the top of the heap, who now is a guest blogger on a Conservative website!

    The ability of quislings to sow deceit and dissension in the ranks of an opponent has been recognized through the ages….

    It’s a big internet. If you don’t like the site or the host, nobody’s forcing you to visit. In any case, if you do visit, participate in a discussion, even if you disagree, and don’t fling poo. We can go to the zoo to see monkeys do that.

    I have disagreed with Poli vehemently on more than one issue and gotten all sorts of grief from commenters who thought I was deviating from the party line. But I have never descended to the kind of nonsense I have seen the last couple of days and on the occasions I wanted to vent I did it on my blog.

    Good for you, sissy. I thought you were so interested in seeing McCain get elected. I thought you were all pissed at the false flag op going on here.

    Now that Obama is in, you are posting in support of his number one cheerleader and dem partisan. Good for you, sissy.

    now, the fact that this blog no longer has any posters, but still has more than yours, may be a reason why you are here. The rest of us are just expressing contempt for Col. Democrat.

    Oak bans everyone who disagrees with him effectively, so the fact we are not banned must be that he has standing orders from Poli not to ban, or has had his car keys taken away. Oak Leaf has banned 70% of the posters who ever posted on this site.

    What are you, a five year old? We know all this, sissy, and we come here to crap on Colonel Kremlin here.

    You don’t lecture us on manners, we do as we please. If we get banned for it, no great loss.

    Cheers, sissy.

    I do respect Oak Leaf, no denying it, but what I am really asking for is a conversation and not a bitch-hair-pull. But whatever.
