Identity Theft? Lets Call It A “Banana”
Supreme Court Justice John McCain Clones 1-9, ruled unanimously that an illegal alien using your social security number has not committed a crime;
WASHINGTON (AP) — A unanimous Supreme Court said Monday that undocumented workers who use phony IDs can’t be considered identity thieves without proof they knew they were stealing real people’s Social Security and other numbers.
The court’s decision limits federal authorities’ use of a 2004 law, intended to get tough on identity thieves, against immigrants who are picked up in workplace raids and found to be using false Social Security and alien registration numbers.
Lets just call it a “banana” since we are all on the plantation.
And learn Spanish.
UPDATE: Reader NK writes;
I followed this case when the defendant first appealed for certiorari to SCOTUS. It was a badly written law but the better interpretation was the one that was just handed down, from both a statutory construction and constitutional viewpoint. The thing is, Congress can amend its statute, if it wants to, to effectively reverse this decision in future cases just by taking out one word — “knowingly”.

OL,
Obama is even more lenient towards illegals than John McCain. Obama openly stated his support for issuing driver’s licenses for illegals. Compared to Obama, John McCain looks like Tom Tancredo and yet you haven’t uttered a word of criticism towards Obama.
Poli, please get rid of this joke.
