2010
The 2010 Senate landscape is very, very bleak for Republicans… Or is it? Perhaps the Democrats’ crappy economy is giving the GOP an opening.
Check out the following polls in hotly contested races in Democrat states:
Delaware – Rep. Mike Castle (R) crushes Attorney General Beau Biden (D) by 55-34
Pennsylvania – Former Governor Tom Ridge (R) beats incumbent Senator Arlen Specter (D) by 39-38
New Hampshire – Former Senator John Sununu (R) beats Rep. Paul Hodes (D) by 46-41

UPDATE: Alert Reader Richard Orby points out:
“Don’t forget Illinois where Kirk is ahead of both Burris and Schakowski, New York where Pataki is ahead of Gillibrand, and Connecticut where Simmons is ahead of Dodd.”

If the GOP doesn’t turn back to a center-right organization (instead of the center-left role it’s been playing since 2004), it won’t matter what the dhimmicrats choose to do…

Well maybe if there is a “tailwind” the republicans can get some of those seats.

Boy wouldn’t that be party day if BOTH Reid and Specter fell off their Senate thrones in 2010!

Jim Bunning attacks senate leader McConnell.
Hmmm how about we replace Bunning with Rand Paul. Then later when we get around to it, we could replace Mitch McConnell with Jim Bunning.

2010 probably lost year. still have the ridge-toomey, rubio-christ issues to resolve in 2010. 2012 is the first shot. anyway, who cares. us politics dont matter. it is a liberal/democrats country until media/academic monopoly is broke up. even then it will take a generation or more. brainwashed population trained to pull lever for d’s.

Toomey over Ridge in primary, and then have at it in the General Election. I do not want Ridge anywhere near that race! It does nothing to help us fight Obama. Ridge is a get-along politician.
