Tom Daschle is still mulling his options for 2004, which will affect GOP hopes of taking his Senate seat. He’ll make a decision in a few weeks.

Meanwhile, an increasing chorus of Al Gore’s “associates” is saying that he might not run for president in 2004. After the NY Post did a story on this, the NY Times has done another.

I think Gore is quite likely to run. As I’ve said before, he will probably be the 2004 Democratic nominee.
