The American Prowler has one good thing to come out of the Lott situation. The Congressional Black Caucus thinks it has the muscle to force House minority leader Nancy Pelosi to make Rep. William Jefferson the leader of their 2004 campaign to take back the House. Why is this good for the GOP? Because Jefferson is (must phrase this carefully, unlike Lott) not the best person for the job. This is one case where I’m for Affirmative Action.
