GOTV

As good strategists know, the game is won long before it’s played. Two new initiatives have a chance to make a significant difference in the 2004 elections: The military is planning to let servicemen abroad vote on the Internet and Christian groups are launching big voter registration drives in churches.

Doubtless, the Republican National Committee (RNC) will also be improving on its successful 2004 72-hour Get Out The Vote (GOTV) task force.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention that the military’s Internet voting project includes key swing states like Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Washington, Arkansas, Ohio and, of course, Florida.
