Why the President Needs $200 Million
Over the next few days and weeks you will hear an enormous amount of sniping and whining from the liberal media about the president’s juggernaut re-election campaign. There will be endless attacks from Democrats about the “fat cats” donating $2,000 each to his campaign to make up a “$200 million warchest.”
Well, the president needs that money to counter the lying socialist treasonous liberal media.
The lying socialist treasonous liberal media will devote acres of print and thousands of hours of television to undermining the president’s re-election campaign. For proof, you just need to look at the Iraq war.
Before the war, liberals lied about the difficulty of the war, predicting “hundreds of thousands” of casualties, a region-wide conflagration and the use of chemical weapons against our troops. The Old York Times misquoted Henry Kissinger as being against the war.
Five days into the war, the Old York Times was already predicting a “Vietnam-like Quagmire.” Other lying socialist treasonous liberal media outlets followed suit, wildly misleading the public about the incredible progress US troops were making.
A week into the war the lying socialist treasonous liberal media misquoted General William Wallace in a raft of stories, making it seem like the war was lost.
After the war the lying socialist treasonous liberal media concocted a story about the “looting” of the Iraqi national museum, based entirely on quotes from Baathist functionaries. The media took every opportunity to play up the “looting,” letting their columnists launch into hysterical denunciations of US soldiers.
The lying socialist treasonous liberal media will do everything in its power to defeat the president and turn our country into a province of France. They will lie, cheat and propagandize shamelessly to advance an anti-American agenda and get a lying socialist treasonous Democratic candidate elected president.
Even a $200 million warchest may not be enough to counter them.
When was the last time the Old York Times endorsed a Republican presidential candidate? Or the LA Times? Or the Washington Post? Or the St. Louis Post-Dispatch? Or the Seattle Times? Or…well, you get the idea.
I’ll ask the president to stop raising money just as soon as the lying socialist treasonous liberal media decides to endorse a Republican for president.
