Don’t Believe the Polls

By PoliPundit ~ November 1st, 2003 @ 11:27 am

A caveat about the three gubernatorial races left this year: Don’t believe the polls. Statewide polling in these tight races is scarce and unreliable.

All three races are likely to be close, even though the GOP has a slight partisan edge. The successful 72-hour Get-Out-The-Vote Task Force, run by Republican heroine Blaise Hazelwood in 2002, will be tested and refined in these races. Republicans will finally be competing with Democrats in the ground game and the lessons learnt in 2003 will be put to good use in 2004.
