The Rothenberg Report says that HUD Secretary Mel Martinez is taking another look at the race to replace Senator Bob Graham (D-FL). Martinez, a Cuban-American, had previously declined a run. Other good candidates will be looking to get in, now that Graham has decided to retire.

Florida is going to be a huge battleground in 2004 and is the one state where I’d expect the winner of the presidential race to have coattails.
