Lame Press Releases

Slate rounds up the lamest campaign press releases in the 2004 presidential campaign.
My award goes to a a press release that’s not on Slate’s list. It’s from Carol Moseley Braun’s campaign, a week before she dropped out. Excerpt:
No stranger to blazing new trails and knocking down barriers, Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun again makes history as she runs for president on the primary ballot in 20 states — more than any woman candidate ever before.“We are in an unprecedented 20 races as of today. And that number is guaranteed to grow as we move forward to file in still more states,” said Campaign Manager Patricia Ireland.
…
“Carol Moseley Braun is not only making history, she is making headway in her quest to take the ‘Men Only’ sign off the White House door.”
