It’s Not a Good Day for Kerry

The Democratic Mayor of Saint Paul, Randy Kelly, has announced his endorsement of George W. Bush for President of the United States.

“George Bush and I do not agree on a lot of issues,” Kelly said in a statement. “But in turbulent times, what the American people need more than anything is continuity of government, even with some imperfect policies.”

Why is this important? Minnesota is a battleground state, and the endorsement of the Honorable Mayor Kelly gives the President a boost in the most Democratic part of the state. Former Mayor, now Senator Norm Coleman supported Kelly in 2001. It was a good choice…

Remember: If Kerry loses Minnesota, he will probably lose Wisconsin and Iowa. To me, those are the three critical battleground states where President Bush could ensure a November victory.
