A Macabre Pattern Emerges

Am I the only one who has noticed a macabre element in many of the attacks on George Bush? The fact that the person that forged the 60 Minutes documents used the identity and signature of a dead man is just plain mean. The person who did it had to know that the man’s family would be dragged into a mess not of their choosing.

This picture, which I saw at New England Republican, is just one example of Democrats using the war dead to attack George Bush. The line across the picture says “1,000 brave Americans can’t vote against the man who sent them to die in Iraq for his lies.” I wonder how the families of the dead American servicemen and women in that picture feel about the use of their childrens’ photographs for political purposes. I especially wonder how those families who strongly support President Bush feel about it. I guess that when the Democrats failed to get pictures of the soldiers’ flag draped coffins, they decided this was the next best thing.

Shameless.
